We are having issues with moving scanned assets into new Product Type catagories that we have created to help us further detail how many of what endpoint device we have.

 

When a initial scan is performed on a desktop, laptop, etc, it is initially placed in the IT Asset Type called workstation. All of that assets information is also there and it allows us to rescan manually whenever we want.

 

Since our workstation list was growing to hundreds of systems, we wanted to further differenciate the type uf device and place it into its own Asset Product Type. So we proceeded to create a Type call laptops, notebooks, tablets. We then to the steps to move these devices into those catagories. After doing so, we found that all the scanned information for that device was gone. Also, there is no scan function on the screen that I can find.

 

We are running the latest build (109).

 

Does anyone know what could have happened and how to resolve this?
