currently the asset's combobox only shows the name, unfortunately it is not always easy to understand what type of asset it is, as shown below:

My proposal is to add the asset type, such as below:

in addition, it would be greatly appreciated you can also select the assets that are associated with the Department of the selected user (Asset assigned to the department but to no users), such as common printers.
