Asset + Access Tracking
Hi there,
I'm not very familiar with the asset module in SDP so if there is relevant documentation please let me know.
We have SDP and Desktop Central. We're trying to build a view of a users assets and accesses. The common scenario is that a user leaves the business so we need to know did they have:
- Assets
- This is fine. These are recorded and associated through Desktop Central.
- Licenced software installed to those assets
- This is fine. These are recorded and associated through Desktop Central.
- Access to licenced web portals
- The only way I can see of recording this as a Client Access Licence, this doesn't seem to link to the user profile anywhere. It's not associated in the CMDB. In a leaver scenario you'd need to check all licences to see if the user is associated with one?
We have leavers that even have access to Desktop Central and SDP and I can't see a way of recording this against a user profile?
In SDP 11005 there is an associations for Assets and (installed) Software but not licences?
Is there an easy way to accomplish this? I hope you can help.
