Even after we unmanage a resource, seemingly AppManage continues to monitor the resource and show the red dot on dashboards. I am looking for ways to deal with this bug or annoying feature, what ever it may be as it distorts the view by showing false positives.

 

The reason for unmanging a monitor range from the resource being a cold standby to resource configuration being partially complete. In such cases, if the monitor is part of a group (if it was a cold standby) then the whole group is also turns red. The solution so far has been to delete the monitor itself, but this is a bigger issue as when ever switching to cold standby, it needs reenterning all details including password to setup monitor again.

 

Please guide on workarounds if any or further explanation to understand it better.

 

Just a note, some of the dashboards, seem to have only red/green dot and seem to not show the unmanaged/downtime icons for monitors of it the entire group is under downtime.
