Applications Manager 10.0 released; includes end user monitoring enhancements, vCenter support and more

ManageEngine Applications Manager 10.0 is now available for download in our website. The highlights of this release are enhancements to end user experience monitoring and automated mapping of VMware resources through the vCenter server.

Here is a quick look at the new features/enhancements in 10.0:
  • End User Experience Monitoring (EUM) add on introduced:
    The 'Real Browser Monitor' add-on has been rechristened as 'End User Monitoring' add-on with enhancements that help it go beyond real browser monitoring. This now includes LDAP, DNS, Ping and Mail Server RTT. Also, the pricing structure of RBM has been modified from an agent-based model to a flat-fee model. Read more >>
  • Support for vCenter:
    Now you can discover your entire virtual infrastructure through vCenter server and automatically model them the same way they are configured in vCenter. The VMware components can be classified into components such as data centers, clusters, ESX/ESXi hosts, VMs, etc. Read more >>
  • Custom fields and labels for monitors and groups. You can view this by clicking on the 'Custom Fields' button inside a monitor or monitor group.
  • We now show split up of CPU utilization by CPU cores. There is also support for viewing server configuration parameters.
  • Support for Amazon S3 monitoring.
  • Improved web client and ability to customize tabs.
  • A 64-bit binary for Applications Manager.
  • IPV6 support for most monitor types.
  • Anomaly Detection is no more an add-on feature. It will be part of the basic product.
  • Ability to specify roles for Exchange server 2007/2010. This helps view more performance metrics.
  • SSL support for SMTP and POP in mail server monitor.
