Dear all,

We are happy to share another set of features and enhancements for integration key which has been planned for the release. As you may already know, the integration key is primarily used as an API key to allow external applications or custom scripts to access and interact with the ServiceDesk Plus. Refer to the following documentation to know more.

1. When an integration key set with an expiry date and if it goes unnoticed, it will cause disruptions to all script-based customizations and other integrations. To manage this, expiry notifications settings to alert technicians before the integration key's expiry enabling them to generate a new key or extend the expiry period and prevent potential disruptions.

You can send email notifications to technicians up to 15 days before the key's expiry.

2. In the current builds, a limitation in the integration key design causes all automated actions performed through scripts to get recorded in the history as if they were made by the technician whose login was used to generate the key. This can lead to confusion and misinterpretation, often resulting in unnecessary follow-ups with the particular technician for clarification on the changes made. Following is the sample screenshot.

This limitation will be addressed in the upcoming release by recording such actions in the history as performed by the system along with the associated Integration Key name. Refer to the screenshot below.

We encourage you explore the new features available on our beta site and provide your valuable feedback.
