Hi
I have a large incident catalog setup for requesters to submit a request to the help desk teams. This works fine and our requesters can submit a ticket to any one of our various support groups. No issues.
But some of these requesters are also technicians for other support groups and sometimes they may need to submit a support ticket for an issue they are having. So they also need access to the full requester version of the incident catalog even tho they are now technicians.
Is there any way other than logging out of SDP as a technician that these users can access the 'requester' version of the incident catalog without logging out as a technician?
We have 54 support templates so I really don't want to assign these technicians/sometimes requesters to all 54 templates. And I can't assign them to the other support groups or they will receive alerts and notifications that aren't relevant to them.
Ideally I would like to have a separate URL that points to the requester 'incident catalog' that considers everyone that access it to be a requester. Or a 'Requester Incident Catalog' button. Or maybe there is already a way to provide this to them that I am not thinking about?
One work around is to create a 'user' account and have the technician log out of SDP from their technician account and then log in using a 'user' account. Then they would see the full requester incident catalog and could submit a help request from there. But that is a real pain and most of my users would be confused by why have to log in with one account and then back in using a non AD account...not to mention that this user account would have a different email address possibly.
