Announcements can be an extremely powerful tool, are there any plans to enhance the customisation of it?
Below are some ideas of enhancements I would use for my organisation:
- Restricting announcement visibility to Sites / User groups - stops un-affected sites seeing un-needed announcements
- Announcement templates - allow for standardisation of announcements
- Icon change - ability to amend icon dependant on announcement type i.e. red triangle for outage, yellow for planned maintenance, Updates or just a simple icon for latest news topics from IT
- Announcement display on the incident catalogue
- This affects me button - simple button that creates a child ticket for anyone affected who clicks on it
- Easy announcement addition from high priority tickets - Option available to add an announcement when 'High priority' is selected when ticket logging
