AM8.1: Oracle8 - another DB Monitor not working

After the issues I have had with mySQL, I tried the Oracle DB Monitor with our DEV Server Oracle8 (8.0.5),

Same again here, not working here, this time I have this error despite the host being already monitored in AM8.1 without a problem:

Service is not Running.
Root Cause:
Ping to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx failed

After checking the AMDB tables, I was able to find the TABLE that had all the DB login info, and this is what I found:

- The password stored for mySQL connection or Oracle connection was wrong, it was some kind of "character" garbage, not encryption at least for mySQL or Oracle8, as other "default" password in the same table were in clear, not encrypted.

- When I edit the monitor in AM8.1 UI, the password is absent, and I have to re-enter it again, otherwise it assumes it's a blank password, and when I do, it saves the password in that table in some ASCII garbage, which explains why the AM8.1 can't connect.

What to do to correct this ? should I just update the password in that AMDB Table with the right one ? will that work ? I did that and it's still doesn't work and ignore the password altogether.
