Unlike normal alerts, I need an alert that tells me when a specific process is running. This is a process that shouldn't be running so I want an email if it is running, I can't get this to work but it is a double negative situation I think.

I have the monitor set up for the applicable server. I have created a process monitor and added the process I want to monitor. I have created an alarm for that process. In the alarm specs I chose Advanced Options. I have no action for if the process is up. I have added an email action to the section "alarm if monitor is up." So if it is up, I want that email. But it isn't working. It is setting an alarm without an email when the process is down.

 

Any ideas?
