After upgrading to 11.3 we are being forced to buy Desktop central
When we upgraded several months ago to version 11.3 (I think) the scan agent was replaced with a desktop central agent. We had a bunch of issues and had to get support involved and (eventually) they installed a desktop central integration with a free version of Desktop central. We have never had desktop central nor do we need it's features.
Now we are being told that in order to scan and do inventory within SD+ we must buy desktop central? I am not the tech. but rather the manager so I apologize if I am not getting this info. exactly correct. It doesn't make sense to me that we are being required to purchase desktop central for my 650 workstations to perform an inventory when SD+ was purchased with this feature set.
Have we been led down a bad path? This seems like bait and switch to me.
