Advice requested for a newbie

Hello all, I've been in the IT consulting space for 25 years and own a MSSP. We are currently using a PSA that is not enterprise grade, and I have been looking for a new tool. I have no interest in ConnectWise. I do not want a cloud hosted rental PSA. I also don't think that any tool which lacks CMDB and project management could be a viable PSA, yet many of them lack these essential features. We currently have Kaseya VSA as a RMM and are not happy doing business with Kaseya. QuickBooks is also too limited.
I am seeing value in a cohesive strategy which involved Zoho Books, ManageEngine Analytics, and ServiceDeskPlus MSP. I may possibly add RMM Central if the scripting engine and scripting capabilities are dramatically improved. As they are now, they are no match for VSA.

I need the featureset as listed in the Enterprise flavor of ME SDP MSP.

I am looking for advice on how best to get started with SDP MSP and how to learn how to use it properly.
Should I use the free version first for a while as a platform to train on? Would there be any value in taking a certification training class on the product if I have never used it before?

I have looked at most other PSAs on the market and they lack the functionality, so I am trying to find out the best way to learn, adopt, and implement ME SDP MSP from the perspective of a MSP leader who has done that. I would greatly appreciate your perspective.
