I was asked by my organization to look into this product and test it before choosing a solution to implement into our systems. So far I am convinced that this solution will fit our needs quite nicely. However, I find the lack documentation to be a point of concern, and a problem in evaluating the solution.
Going over the admin guide (https://www.manageengine.com/products/self-service-password/help/admin-guide/index.html), I couldn't find the components involved in the system.
Since users will service themselves through the browser, I assume the application will make use of IIS (or other solution). I am also guessing there will be some sort of database or other data management system in play for security questions and such.
I haven't found any mention of these things in the system requirements section, and would like to know if all these components and features are rolled in application or are (or can be) installed separately (The database for example I noticed can be installed separately https://download.manageengine.com/products/self-service-password/configure-adselfservice-plus-with-mssql.pdf
Does this information exist in other documentation I haven't come across yet? I would be much appreciative for some details regarding the system components and architecture and a full list of short descriptions of all the features that comes with the difference licensing's (such as the OWA integration described at: https://www.manageengine.com/products/self-service-password/adssp-owa-integration.pdf
