I've had ADManager for some time, and I'm really trying to replace ADUC for all functionality, so I'm trying to find the best ways to perform some fundamental tasks.  This one is pretty basic.

We often do searches on the same types of object. For example, I want to search all users who have "Information Technology" as their Department.  The issue here is:

1) If I simply select all domain objects, the search gathers the thousands of objects over a long period of time and presents them in the view.

2) I can go through and check off the myriad of user containers, but that takes a really long time to do by hand. Also, when I do this, then I have all the user containers checked, but if I need to do any other type of search, then that group of selections is wiped out and the new group is replace.

Is there a way to save selections and recall them later? Am I going about this all wrong?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Please let me know if you need clarification.
