Hi,
Thanks for your notes below, I have followed all the steps as requested and completed all the upgrades the only thing is, I am having a problem restoring the database into the new 2008 x64 server.
I get the following error when running the restoreDB.bat “please enter a valid file name”. I have double checked the backup zip file and that name is correct.
Any idea as to why this could be happening?
Kind Regards,
Vaughn

Hello Vaughn,
Yes.ADManager Plus will work on Windows 2008 R2 X64 bit machine.
Steps for moving ADManager Plus to different server :
1. Stop ADManager Plus (Click on Start--> All Programs --> ADManager Plus --> Stop ADManager Plus).
* Note : In case you have installed ADManager Plus as a NT Service, stop the service (Start --> Run --> type services.msc ---> Stop "ManageEngine ADManager Plus" ).
2. Open the command prompt (Run as administrator) -- > Navigate to <installation dir.>ADManager Plusin --> Execute “backupDB.bat” file to take a backup of your existing DB.
* A folder named “Backup” will be created under <installation dir.> (eg: C:Program FilesManage EngineADManager Plus), which will contain the DB in compressed file format(eg : 101217-1054.zip).
3*. Take a copy of specs.xml file present in <installation dirPatch>
4. Download Install the same build number of ADManager Plus on a new server machine.
