An interesting update from ADManager Plus:

AD contact object re-provisioning has been enhanced with new features like Single Contact Object Modification, Contact Modification Templates and Modification Rules in the latest release.

Highlights of this build:

Single Contact Object Modification: It is now possible to modify/update only the required AD contact object, separately, on a case by case basis. This modification can be done with or without using contact modification templates, which help in updating only the specified fields with the required values.

 

Contact Modification Templates: Using these customizable templates, administrators can specify the fields that helpdesk technicians can modify, manually, and also specify the fields that should be automatically updated as per the organization’s requirements, during the contact modification process.

 

Modification Rules: Modification rules can be created by administrators according to their organization requirements, in the contact modification templates. These rules automatically populate the required fields, whenever a contact object is modified / updated by the helpdesk technicians.

Fixes:
• Issues in OU based delegation of ‘setting mailbox rights’ to HDTs have been fixed.
• All errors occurring while performing ‘Modify Single User’ operation will now be displayed in the Audit Reports also, without any issues.

• Space in values after the 30th character issue, in reports, while displaying values that are more than 30

  characters long has been fixed.
• Issues in displaying values of custom attributes in reports have been corrected.
