AD users migrating to other domain

I have a question. Currently, the users are imported from AD from 8 different windows domains. In the near future there will be only 2 windows domains and the users from the other 6 domains will be transferred on the 2 domains. What will be the impact of this to the servicedesk? I will have to recreate the users groups if they will change the domain?
