ActiveX Control and IE 10

ActiveX Control and IE 10

I have a Windows 8 machine with IE 10 on it. I have not been able to use the ActiveX viewer for remote control. I can get it to prompt me to allow the ActiveX control to run and I say Allow but the viewer never comes up. I have followed the instructions here http://dcserver.pearl.k12.ms.us:8020/help/remote_desktop_sharing/remote_desktop_pre-requisites.html#Remote-Desktop-Sharing-How-to-enable-ActiveX-Controls-in-Internet-Explorer but nothing happens.

I have UAC turned off and I have my machine firewall service off.

Up until build 80205 I could use the Java viewer, but now it is not working either.

Is there a way to uninstall/reinstall the ActiveX control?
