accessing opmanager DB very slow
I'm using Opmanager6 to monitor 20 routers,500 switches & 100 servers. The machine that OPman
runs on is a P4 3Ghz with 2GB RAM, accessing top 10 switch ports and other reports can take nearly 700secs to complete. is this because the box is underpowered or OPman is not designed to monitor nearly 10000 ports.
I'm going to move the installation to a new Dell server (Dual core 2.33Ghz, 2GB RAM, 36GB 15000rpm SAS drives) should I get an improvement in performance or spilt the monitoring across multiple servers :?
