Access Denied while installing agents through console

Access Denied while installing agents through console

Dear Team,

We have upgraded our Central Server today to the latest version 11.4.2528.21. After the upgrade, we started facing an issue with agent installation using both the command-line (IP-based) method and the console (hostname-based) method.

Below are the details of the issue:

Issue Description

  • When installing the agent using the command line with IP address, the installation fails with the following errors:

    • Access Denied

    • Incorrect Username or Password

  • We have verified that the credentials are correct.

  • We tested connectivity to the target machine’s ADMIN$ share from both:

    • Central Server

    • Distribution Server
      Both connections are working successfully.

  • However, when we initiate agent installation, the tool reports that the credentials do not have access to the ADMIN$ folder through the Distribution Server.

  • The same issue occurs when trying agent installation from the console using hostname.

  • Before the upgrade, the automatic agent installation from the console was working without issues.

  • The failure started immediately after upgrading the Central Server.

Request

Kindly assist in identifying the root cause and provide a solution or workaround at the earliest, as this is affecting our onboarding of new systems.

Thank you,
Satvika
