About Execute Program Action

I am trying to use the "Execute Program Action" to help me to trigger some bat file when some events happened.

Build Number : 8300
It seems trigger the remote server .bat is a bit complicated in the windows OS.

So i just try to trigger the local .bat file in the Application Manager Server which is installed in win 2003 server .

But still no luck.

Here is the detail of the test Execute Program Action
Display name: TEST BAT - NOTEPAD
Script Location : Local Server
Program To Execute : \test.bat
Directory to execute program : c:\battest
Abort After: 30 seconds

the test.bat is located at c:\battest\test.bat in the Application Manager Server

the content of the test.bat is just open a notepad as a test which is just one line
c:\windows\notepad.exe

Then i have a trial run , system return
The action TEST BAT - NOTEPAD has been successfully executed as show in the application Manager.
While there is nothing happened in the Application manager server side

Does it run in silent mode or already closed itself ?

I am new on this function, please kindly advice .
Please provide some sample bat file for windows 2003 if possible as a guide.
