Abort a Restart or Shutdown in Progress
Consider this scenario: You have some clients that just installed an application or patch, or for some other reason patch manager has initiated a restart. You have configured a policy to prevent the user from canceling since generally you want machines to restart to make an installation effective. Let's say the restart delay has been set for 10 minutes, and starts counting down on a client. A user calls and insists their machine cannot reboot right now. Is there any way to cancel the restart either from the DTC console or the workstation?
Just curious in case the issue ever comes up for us. I know about deployment policies, so this question is about handling the rare exceptions.
