A suggestion on the one hand, a small issue on the other hand, quite simply because both are interrelated towards each other.

I create older (historical) orders, so basically i create an order on a certain date. When you receive the items however, these items are not dated on the order date. Rather all the items received are dated on the currect date. To try it yourself: Create a new order on let's say 12/12/2007. Then follow the workflow until you receive items, receive them and close the PO. Go take a peek in one of the items received and take a look at the date.

(I'm using (currently) version 8.0 build 8005 and going to upgrade to 8006.

Now, i realize this is not a 'fix', but i would create a more flexible date selection field which can prove comfortable anyway. Currently you have to 'browse' to the date, and if a date is a while ago, and you have to repeat that for let's say 20 items, you are busy for quite a while. Maybe add in a small textbox above or under the selection controls, where you can simply type in the date as yyyy-mm-dd.

My idea here is to include a textfield above the selection controls and the heading in the Title Bar "June 2009".
