A demo on Version 6.0

I have come again with an update for the Version 6.0 again.

Go through the demo @ http://itildemo.servicedeskplus.com/

How to login :

Login as "demo" ( the password is the same ) to check the Technician login

Login as "guest" ( the password is the same ) to check the Requester login




What should you check for :

    a) Category / Subcategory / Item under Admin -> HelpDesk Customizer.

    b) Role for Reports under Admin -> Roles.

    c) Department Head Role under Admin -> Requesters.

    d) The keep me signed in feature on the login page.

    e) Predefined templates for requests under Admin -> HelpDesk Customizer.

    f) Mandatory fields while closing a request.

    g) Edit all requests at one go.

    h) Save your response from the Reply page. Edit the drafts too..

    i) Disable My Details from the Requester login - Check this under Admin -> General Settings.

    j) Choose the actual working date for requests under Add Time Entry for a request.

    k) Notify Technicians before the SLA is violated under Admin -> SLA

    m) Edit Request/Requester Information inline from a Request

    n) Customize the Survey Email under Admin -> Survey

    o) Customize the SLA notification email under Admin -> Notification Rules.

    p) Add/Edit/View notes to requests from the Request List view page. Click the Notes icon to add/edit/view a note to a request.

    q) Try using the Merge option from the Request list view page.

    r) Verify if you are using the correct spelling to raise the request through the Spell Check feature in the HTML Editor under Request Creation/Reply, Solution etc... The spell check is the last icon in the HTML Editor.

    s) Add Tasks to Requests under Request View page.

    t) An Email notification on the Announcement is now possible here. I have configured the outgoing mail settings for you to test this.

    u) Check the database structure under Reports -> New Query Report. Choose the module for which you need the reports.








































Two surprise additions ( Its a surprise, bcos it doesnt feature in the list @ http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId=49000003329127 )

    a) Summary Reports for Assets/Workstations under Reports.

    b) Custom Views - It can be a private or a public View. Check the High Priority View under Request Filters. Its a public custom view. Use the icon next to filters to create your own views.



We know that the ones listed below are not working in the demo : ( Dont worry , these will be fixed when the general access build is rolled out )

    - Test this over a Firefox browser. Issues related to IE will be fixed in the general access build.
    - Spell checker in Request doesnt go well with IE
    - Category / sub category / item is not listed in Admin -> Request Template
    - On submitting a request for approval from Request details page, the page needs to be refreshed for displaying the Approval tab

I kindly request you to populate valid data for testing purposes and not to add any unwanted/irrelevant information here. You can test any other feature you would wish to.
