7704 - Inline images not appearing from some emails
Hi,
We're seeing a problem which we expected to be fixed in this version. In all instances, emails from one of our clients which include images within the body of the email are not being displayed.
I've done some investigation and discovered that the images are
not being stored in the inlineimages\WorkOrder folder and that the HTML in WorkorderToDescription is storing the image in the following format:
img src="cid:92afbefa-cd8e-49ee-966e-5d5980881b19"
For incoming emails whose inline images work, the images are referenced in the following format (Please note that the below exmple was created by us forwarding a backup of the above email into the same SC+ system):
IMG src="/inlineimages/WorkOrder/29254/0.jpg"
One thing we have noticed is that incoming emails from this particular client have <xmeta content= information in the FULLDESCRIPTION HTML which we don't appear to see from other emails. I presume that there's something different with the format of this partcular client's emails, but being as our Exchange system splits the message into two mailboxes (one for SC+ and another for backup purposes) and when we forward the split copy back to SC+ the images are ok, we're a little stuck as to what to suggest in order to resolve this problem.
To be clear, suggesting to our clients that they change the format of their incoming emails is absolutely not an option. Whatever is causing SC+ problems will need to be resolved in SC+ or it will need to be categorically stated by yourselves that incoming emails from a particular system or of a specific format are not supported by SC+.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
