2018: A feature retrospective

2018: A feature retrospective

Hey there!

The year 2018 has been action packed for the Analytics Plus team. We have brought in a boat load of new features, updates, and enhancements—none of which would have been possible without the continued love and support from the Analytics Plus community.

Here are some highlights of the top features of the year:

Report commenting
Collaboration with your team just got better. With report commenting, you can insert comments in specific sections of your reports and start real-time conversations with users. Additionally, using report commenting, you can tag users, attach files, and capture and annotate screenshots of current views.

Data alerts
Look at reports only when it really matters. With data alerts, get notified by e-mail or in-app notifications when important metrics breach critical threshold. Eg.: Email notifications when overall SLA compliance dips below 95%. Click here for a step-by-step guide on how to set up data alerts and get notified on the go.

Support for more data sources
Do you have data stored in the cloud? Now you can easily import them and start creating stunning visuals right away. Analytics Plus supports seamless data import from many cloud sources like Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and One Drive. Click here for more information on importing data from cloud sources.

Analytics Plus also supports data import from MS Access database. You can now import data from local drives, FTP servers, cloud drives, and web links of MS Access Database.

Dark themed dashboards
Pitching a new idea? Now present your ideas with visually impressive dashboards. Choose from a set of six preset themes including dark, grey, navy, teal, light, and light blue to customize your dashboards.

Data security features in compliance with GDPR
With GDPR in full effect, Analytics Plus has launched a set of data security features to help you comply with GDPR guidelines.
  • Password protect exports and email attachments - You can now set a password for reports exported or emailed from Analytics Plus.
  •  Password protect public views - You can also set up passwords for reports or dashboards embedded on a website or intranet portal.
  • Exclude personal data from your exports - You can now mark columns as Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and exclude them during export. You can choose to include them in your export, if necessary.
  • Exclude columns while sharing - While sharing tables, you can exclude columns with sensitive information to ensure data security.
