Issue updating to 14.9 (apply DB level change stuck at 60%)

Uninstallation not supported??
I just tried upgrading our build form 7506 to 7509 and it failed. The service will not start. No problem I though; I'll just use the "uninstall" option that is present in updatemanager. So I start updatemanager, and pick which service pack to uninstall. It asks me if I am sure it needs to be uninstalled or not, I choose OK. So I wait as it begins the process… and wait.. and wait.. and wait.. about 10 minutes later the attached screenshot window pops up. "Sorry, uninstallation is currently not supported."
