network connection and icon lost
hi to all.. this prob started when i remove the sp2 ,my network connection and icon is missing but i can still use the internet.. is there anyone know how to fix this.im using win98 thank you
How to enable ssl support on Version 5.5.0
Is there anything that needs to be enabled for ssl support to work for Service Desk. I've upgraded from build 5001 to 5501 and can't get ssl (https:\\servername:8081) to function correctly.

Setting Mandatory fields in ServiceDesk plus
Each time I set a certain field in the Request page to be mandatory it loses the setting again ? I have 2 additional fields added & both are mandatory. One holds, The other doesn't. Any ideas ? or does it only allow one additional field to be mandatory. Thanks E
Links on forum pages
Can the links to the forum please be fixed so they are the same if you click on the link from the enterprise area of the forums and click on service desk it goes into the first Service desk forum and not the main menu Also depending on which link you choose, bottom of the page or top If you are looking at a topic you will go to different areas depending on the link you click on
Site Licenses for software
Hi Any suggestions on how to handle site licenses for software. Also with about 500 mac laptops in the assets am i able to assign software to assets. (thats lazy i guess i should just try it.) I think software licenses shouldnt have been bundled in with assets personally.... creating a whole new asset for 1 license of 1 product this could equate to 10000+ assets which are just software licenses mmmmmm Im thinking i might boycott the whole software section of SD+ Barb
Two IP, one subnet, on NIC ?
Hello there, I'd like to know how SD+ binds itself to IP under Windows. If possible, I'd like to use two IP from the same subnet, on the same NIC, but I'm not sure how SD+ will behave: for example, for sending mails, should I tweak my relay rules ? Thanks for your help !
Error when backing up
I'm currently running build 5008 and I was about to upgrade to 5500. As per the recommended installation process, I was trying to do a backup of the database prior to applying the patch. However, when I run the backup it gets a fair way through then gives me a Java exception memory error. I'm just re-running the backup now and I'll post the error when or if I get it again.

What is the recommended policy / procedure for once an asset or inventory item is received & approved in recording it as such under the relative tabs (asset &/or inventory)? Is there an automatic transfer by line items or do they have to be added separately?

Page defaults to lower half in requesters
When changing details for a requester I have noticed that you click on a requester and instead of the page refreshing and showing you the details it shows you the bottom half of the page, where the help information is. Would be better if it showed you the top half of the page so you could edit the requester information Also have noticed that the link on this forum still does not work correctly, when you click on the support tab and clikc on service desk forums it goes into the Service deks forum
Request On Hold and Due By Date
I need help to understand how Due By Date is working ... I have created a few status (new, assigned etc. are like Open, pending something are like On Hold, resolved or canceled is like Closed). The regular SLA is 12 hours.
