Not all servers is displayed in the report.
I want to create a report "Availability and Response". I choose "Create New Report", select Availibility Category, choose Business View that I created earlier and in which I added 6 servers. All these servers are available and response. But in the report itself only 3 of 6 servers are displayed. Why can not all servers are displayed, despite the fact that they are all in the same category, they all work and are available?
[OpManager] user with administrator role but unable to see settings icon and cannot add new device
Hi, I'm having this issue with the Opmanager Build 12200 for user (local or Domain) account which was granted the Administrator role but could not see the settings icon or add new device. If in the user management section for the user's scope i grant it "All Devices", the user is able to see the settings and able to add new devices. But if I set the user's scope to "Selected Business Views" and select the appropriate business views, then I will see the problem where user cannot see the settings icon
Add Windows Service Monitor - Show Startup Type
On a device, you should be able to see the startup type when viewing the list of services. Right now it shows the display name, service name and status. Please add a column for Start Up type so we know if a service is Automatic, Automatic (Delayed) or Manual.

Report and print problems
Hello everybody I've recently installed OpManager 12.3.001 Below are my problems: 1. When I generate a report ( Graphical ), the exported PDF is a single long page which is not printable! I mean, I can print it but it's size is not fit to paper. I have to shrink it and it wouldn't be neat enough to make a manager satisfied. 2. When I change the time from TODAY to any other options and then try to view graphs, it looks all graphs' state is related to TODAY again! I mean, how can I have all graphs
Interface Monitoring
I've add some devices into my inventory. Then I decide to change default interface monitoring intervals. But it doesn't take effect to those interfaces which had been added to project. If I add a new device it works. I tried to apply changes to ALL interfaces and Selected interfaces but the result is still the same. It's really hard to remove and add devices again.
Really hit or miss
We have 7 hyperv hosts - most do not get detected as a hyper v host - but incorrectly reported as Server 2012 R2. If I manually edit the machine details to a hyperv host it looses all the dial metric details and does not report on any hosted vms. I see this has been a common theme over the years but as I am using the latest version I thought this would not be an issue? Interestingly after deleting and adding dozens of times, doing a dance around the room and praying to the gods I managed to add 3
Peroformance monitors are not working
Dear, I have added performace monitors for 5585 ASA firewall but most of them are not working except systemup time and network interface. Anyhelp is much appreciated.
Opmanager v123036 add vmware esxi host failed with esxi 6.7u1
i can add esxi 5.5 host successful, but add esxi 6.7u1 failed, the method and credential are the same 1. the 2 esxi host has the same snmp setting, we only set public community string without password and the snmp server service are confirmed started Authentication: Communities: public Enable: true Engineid: 00000063000000a100000000 Hwsrc: indications Largestorage: true Loglevel: info Notraps: Port: 161 Privacy: Remoteusers: Syscontact: Syslocation: Targets: Users: V3targets: 2. my adding process
Notification Profiles Editing: Change Target and multi-select
There are 4 parts to this: 1. When I create a notification profile and select "By Category", that should still be how that profile selects targets. As it works now, going back in after selection "By Category, only gives me a list of devices and I can no longer select category. This makes it very difficult to group systems together for profiles. It also makes it less dynamic: If I add/remove systems from a category, the Notification Profile will automatically update. The moment you convert it to
Adding Multiple DNS Servers
I'm trying to add multiple DNS servers. When I attempt to do so, (separated by comas), it says it saves it but then when I refresh the page it goes away.

SNMP engine Id matches with the existing engine Id
We recently moved all of our systems from a 172.xxx.xxx.xxx subnet to a 10.xxx.xxx.xxx subnet. After the IP address change I attempted to add our firewall back into monitoring but when I add the firewall I receive an error "The host (10.xxx.xxx.xxx) is added as a non-SNMP device, since its engine Id matches with the existing engine Id of 172.xxx.xxx.xxx" I cannot change the firewall SNMP engineID, how do I remove the existing engine ID of 172.xxx.xxx.xxx
Free Disk Space (WMI) - different Threshold Values for each partition
Hello, We're currently monitoring multiple servers over WMI to get information about low disk space. So far, I have used the function via the device templates to assign the "Free Disk Space" monitor to specific device groups. But now I have the problem that some devices have several partitions in different sizes. Unfortunately, I can only set ONE value for the threshold, and this affects ALL hard disk partitions. But I want to set a separate threshold for each partition, without setting it up manually
WMI Metrics To Add
Please add the following WMI metrics: % Total Paging File Utilization Memory\% Committed Bytes in Use. This 2 metrics are more important to memory monitoring then % Memory utilized.
Rule Engine - Don't Add Disabled Service or non-existent process.
The rule engine almost allows me to apply a set of service or process monitors to a group of servers easily. The problem is, there isn't real intelligence to the rule engine. If I say "Monitor Service X" it will do that regardless of the status of that service. So if the service exists, but is in a disabled state, I will get an alert that the service is down. The same thing with the process: If it doesn't exist, OpManager still adds a monitor to the device but it obviously doesn't pull back data.
Reporting - Threshold Report
It would be great to have a per-device report that allows you to show all or specific thresholds for performance metrics across all of your devices. This would be huge to understand where metrics are set correctly or incorrectly or if we needed to update thresholds.
change severity levels of availability monitoring
As you may know: OpManager has four different severity levels for the alarms. Severity levels of device down alarms (availability monitoring) are already predefined Here is the list with the severity and the events which will trigger the alarms with these severity 1)Service Down: When is service down and URL monitor is down 2)Attention: When the device is down for the 1st poll in availability 3)Trouble: When the device is down for 3 consecutive polls in Availability 4)Critical: When the device is
The Failure of OpManager Discovery, Hardware Changes and Applications Services
Unless support was mistaken, the scenario is this: 1. I add more disk space or memory to a server. 2. OpManager does not automatically detect the additional space or hardware. 3. I have to perform a re-discovery of the device for my monitors to reflect the new space. So, to ensure my devices always have the proper values for the monitors, I need to (at least) create a daily schedule that rescans my devices. The other behavior is this: When DISCOVERY is performed, OpManager automatically detects the

Sound alarm in OpManager 12
Dear everyone, I want to configure a sound alarm for critical events in OpManager and set to turn off it once issue in alert is handled completely. Can I achieve this using OpManager? How can I do? Thanks so much. Hien

Process Monitor - Based on PID, .exe, Path?
If I were to create a global process monitor that can then be applied to a group of systems, what is the criteria based on? During the creation of the monitor, I have to specify a device but things like the path, aruguments or PID might be different: Is there a way I can create something like a "SQLSERVER.EXE" monitor regardless of where SQL is installed? Does OpManager require everything to be the same between one system and another or does it only look for the Process executable itself? If it is
Quick configuration Thresholds - Add more performance metrics
I have previously made ideas for allowing us to re-apply Device template threshold settings without wiping out all of the other settings on existing devices. But I just found out that under Quick Configuration -> Threshold Settings there is a single metric for Partition Details under Performance Metric. This allows you to apply % Disk Space Used thresholds to existing monitors on a group of devices WITHOUT wiping out all of the other monitors or settings! Please please: Add more metrics! At the very
Mass Delete Device Templates
With over 9000 built-in device templates, there must be a way to mass-delete most of them when we only use about 20 Windows templates most of which are custom. Do I really need to see 1000 3com templates when the company stopped existing 10 years ago? Is there a simple SQL query that can delete everything but Templates that begin with "Windows"? When doing an install, can you choose to not install all templates?
Security settings is missed in OpManager probe.

Monitoring Windows Mount Points in OpManager 12 Enterprise
We are currently trying to migrate our entire environemnt to OpManager 12.3 Enterprise. We still have 1 OpManager 11.6 server hanging around to monitor servers with Windows Mount Points. When will mount points be supported in OpManager 12 Enterprise so we can decommission our old OpManager server.
Notification Profiles: Create Monitor-Specific Profile.
In notification profiles, you can select specific services or processes but there is only one option for "Threshold value is violated". For a Global profile, It would be incredibly useful to be able to select the thresholds for specific monitors. This would allow use to create different messages for different metrics. For example: I could create a Disk Space notification with the following text: --==IMPORTANT!==-- Disk space for the below system and volume is running low. Please log in and perform
web performance question.
Hi My network performance is normal but my OpManager web access is slow. I use HTTPS with port 8088. will it cause web access is slow in browser? any ideas to monitor and enhance web access speed for OpManager? Thank you. Code Chang
The question about opmanager.truststore file in /conf
For Build 12.3.181 and above: I read a document from build 12.3.181 and above versions, we can direct enable HTTPS in the web portal, and found there are not OpManager.truststore file was generated. Previously, I use /bin/ssl_gen.bat -f Enable to enable HTTPS and generate OpManager.truststore file but seems new version is not required to use OpManager.truststore. https://pitstop.manageengine.com/portal/kb/articles/ssl-configuration-for-version-12-3#Steps_to_enable_HTTPS My questions are the following:
Threshold Message Variables
In a threshold configuration there is the message section with 3 variables: $MONITOR is $CURRENTVALUE, threshold value for this monitor is $THRESHOLDVALUE Are there other variables that can be used in that field? Does anyone have a list of them?
Central Management of Individual or small groups of devices
I made a post about improving device templates but I want to expand on that. OpManager makes it very time-consuming to apply the same configuration to small to medium sized groups of devices. Device templates are almost there, but they rely on SNMP and you can't add a variety of monitors (Windows Service, Process, URLs, etc) to the template, but I noted that in another idea. The new idea is for Notifications. If I have a group of, say, 10 servers that I want custom notifications on the Windows Processes,
Notification Variables to Add
Please add the following variables to the Send Email notification templates: 1. Threshold Value: I see it is a part of the message itself but I would like to break it out as a separate line in an email notification. 2. Performance graph: I know with CPU utilization you can get the top 3 processes. It would be so useful to get a performance graph of the offending metric so i could see the last "N" hours of performance data in the email. This can help me quickly see if there was a sudden spike or drop
Custom Dial for Free Disk Space on C: wrong color
I updated my device template to show the WMI free disk space for the C drive. It shows correctly but the gauge color is wrong. It's showing RED for 95% free space. I assumed it would use the monitor thresholds but those don't seem to change it. Is there a way to fix this?
Folder Monitors - "Permission Denied-Verify WMI credential"
I am trying to monitor the when a folder date changes. When I test the monitor I get the error "Verify WMI credential". However, my WMI-Creds work fine to poll the machine for other monitors. Is there a trick or does monitor use some other credentials?
Add MSSQL Monitors - customize action
In the Rule Engine, there is a rule for "Add MSSQL Monitors". This rule triggers an action called "Associate MSSQL Monitors". Is there somewhere that I can specify WHICH monitors get associated? Right now I'm getting a dozen monitors that I don't want on 50 or so SQL Servers, which will be a LOT of deleting and reconfiguring to straighten out.
Unable to restore data. Make sure the build number of your installation and the one in the backup is the same Error with OPM
