False Alarm Alerts
Hi, We have had Probable device failure: No response from device for last 3 polls alerts for devices in one of our offices, but I have checked and everything is reachable and running. Why would this be? It's not the first time it has happened. What can be done to stop this from happening? Regards, Gareth James

i know that i can't install a higher probe than the central, but can it be backwards? can i install a new central with an older build probe?

feature request - event log alert description
now, when i setup an alert based on windows event log, when that event comes, the alert shows the whole text of the event, which is very long and most of it is not needed. it would be nice to be able to add to the event log rules, a description. for example : if i do i a rule for user logon, allow me to type a free text description of the alert, let's say "user has logged on". and if i want to go see the full details, i can do so.
wmi query
i'm trying to find all sorts of queries in wmi and they are not on the list but i can get to them by the built in wmi query tool for example this one : select *from win32_networkloginprofile i don't see that on the list of wmi how can i add it so i can query it and make alerts based on that?
Switches not appearing on switch port mapper addon
When discovering switches using opmanager discovery the switch is being recognized and added successfully, but its not available in switch port mapper, why? Is there a way for the switch to appear when scheduling a scanning task in oputils spm. Thanks

how can i delete switch credentials?

let's say i have a server with only one way of communication. the agent can get to the opserver, but the opserver can't get to the server. now, when i install an agent, it registered fine. but i can't associate it because i can't discover it. so is there a way to monitor only by agent information?

Hello everyone, I am using ManageEngine Opmanager as a monitoring tools and EventLog Analyzer as a syslog in a test environment to assesst compatibility, flexibility and also stability before purchase. My setup was almost done, when I found there is a new version available on Opmanager website. So I made a backup of configuration and Data(graphs and everything else). Unfortunately, I got a disappointing error during the restore. Something like "You are not able to restore another version database
alarms that won't go away in opmanager central
i've setup a remote site (probe) for testing. and i have about 5 alarms that are no longer alerting, all green in the central and all green on the probe side. also, any new alarms that i generate (for example, i've made a device unavailable) clears up just fine when i make the problem go away (making the device available again for this example). so everything looks fine, except these 5 alarms that got "stuck" there. i have no delete option on the alarms section (is that supposed to be like this?)

i wanted to ask, is it a "call home" topology? is it enough that the probe will communicate with the central? or if i want to monitor a remote site i have to also open ports incoming from the central back to the probe?

Hi, I use OpManager 12.4.079. Since Friday, I have been constantly received alarm: "Monitoring stopped. Only few devices are collecting data. Check "Devices/Monitors by DataCollection Failure" widgets under System Performance Dashboard to analyse the problem". I restart the server or service, the program works two hours and again the same message arrives. How can I resolve this issue? My infrastructure remains without monitoring and this is very critical to me.

Hola, desde hace tiempo he intentado instalar la aplicación Opmanager pero no me resulta la instalación, la licencia que tienen en la empresa en donde trabajo es una licencia perpetua de una versión algo vieja. Creo que se debe instalar con algo que se llama así como produckey y no tengo la más mínima idea de como utilizar ese archivo, según recuerdo esta debe ser instalada mediante comandos. Remove "WID" SQL Instance
We have a server with both a "MICROSOFT##WID" instance and a named instance. We don't care to monitor the WID instance at all. We've totally removed all the monitors for the WID instance, but we still have to manually select the named instance every time we go to that server. Is there a way to totally remove the WID instance, and just have OpManager pay attention to the named instance? (No more drop-down list where we have to select between them.) Thanks!
Exchange 2019 support
We have Exchange 2019, which is almost supported by the current build of OpManager (12.4.103). The biggest issue seems to be the Exchange Service Monitor "Microsoft Exchange Monitoring," which was looking for a different service in older versions, but has been replaced by "Microsoft Exchange Diagnostics" in Exchange 2019 ---- I believe. So, what I'd like to do is point the monitor "Microsoft Exchange Monitoring" to watch the service "Microsoft Exchange Diagnostics" (Microsoft.Exchange.Diagnostics.Service.exe).
