IP Management - Subnet usage reading 100 percent for all subnets
Good day, At the moment, I'm trying to use OpManager's IP Management feature to track usage of various subnets within our organization. When I add a given subnet, it correctly identifies the number of IPs being used; however, it does not correctly identify the number of available or transient IPs. Likewise, it is currently indicating that all IPs within all subnets are currently in use. In the attached screenshot, there are seventeen used IPs within the subnet, which is shown correctly (see bottom
SNMP request stopped working -> how to detect
Hi, We monitor several servers, switches, firewalls and UPS's. Recently, due to a firewall fault, the SNMP request for a server did not respond any more. We attach Notification Profiles when a threshold is reached but no alarm was given because when we don't get a new value, no threshold is reached, so no alarm is triggerd for us. Yesterday, we got the same issue again with an UPS. The SNMP Requests were not getting any value back (although it worked through the MIB Browser). Removing the UPS, and
How to create shortcut in Business View/where to find documentation (build 12200)?
Good day, I'm currently attempting to build some drill-down style Business Views in OpManager, and am running into the problem that I can't track down how to add a shortcut to another Business View. The only documentation I've been able to find on this is through https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/creating-business-views.htm, and due to changes in the interface, this no longer seems to apply. Effectively what I'd like to do is have a shortcut that says something like "Shortcut to Remote

Monitor ESX server in Opmanager v12.2
I have successfully discovered Vcenter server in Opmanager v12.2 with Vcenter credential, and I could see DataCenter/Cluster/Hosts/VirtualMachines in Inventory/Vcenter page, which is really impressed. Just one problem, I cannot access to ESX server and monitor them and get performance value. Please check the figure below, Comparing with Demo.opmanager.com, vCenter has discovered and ESX hosts can be monitored and shows status clear (as figure below). Did I lost something?

Is it possible to have a double-ended link in a map/business view?
Good day, I'm currently creating a business view to model some of our network hardware, and was wondering if it's possible to create a link between two devices that effectively indicates that one interface on a given device connects to another interface on another device? What I'm attempting to accomplish is having a map that shows the physical topology of our network that also (relatively easily) shows that when a physical link goes down, it connects to a particular interface on each device. At

WAN monitoring and SNMPv3
Hi, I am having trouble getting WAN monitoring to work using SNMPv3. In contrast, I have had no problem getting it to work with version 2c. The error I get when I try to add the WAN monitor is: "Add monitor failed - Check whether SNMP port and write community are properly configured for the device." The Cisco configuration for SNMP v2c I used is below: snmp-server view MY_VIEW iso included snmp-server community public view MY_VIEW RW snmp-server host <ip-address> public rtr For SNMPv3 I used the

Monitoring temperature of Cisco router not behaving as expected
Hi all, I'm currently attempting to set up temperature monitoring for some Cisco routers on our network, and am running into an issue. If I view the dashboard for a particular router, and select the "Hardware" option, I can see the Hardware Report showing three temperature sensors (switch 1 - temp sensor 1, green; switch 1 - temp sensor 2 - green; switch 1 - temp sensor 0, green). These appear to be reporting their respective temperatures correctly. The problem occurs if I attempt to view the monitors

Why OPM ver12.2 add IP SLA WAN monitor have to configure traps rtf first
Following are the steps to enable WAN monitoring in OpManager: 1. Configure the Cisco Routers to send traps to OpManager To configure OpManager machine as the SNMP Server receiving traps for the routers, telnet the router and use the following command: snmp-server host <opmanager server IP> traps <host community string> rtr For instance, if the OpManager host IP Address is 192.168.18.128, and the community string is private, the command would be: snmp-server host <opmanager server IP> traps private

Hey there Our probe just keeled over and died last week and we haven't been able to get it back up, even by restoring it from backups. Problem with loading mibs for HP 5500 and Cisco SG300 switches
Hello, I use a trail version of OpMangaer and I wanted to monitor my switches the HP 5500 and Cisco SG300. I loaded the mibs I got from my vendor to op manager but when I want to see them in the mib explorer the uploaded mibs are empty. Is there a converter or something of the sort for OpManager?
WMI authentication fails temporarily for several (maybe all) servers, then starts working again
I recently created a file monitor for three of my servers. Now OpManager unexpectedly sends a notification that the file doesn't exist when in fact it does. I have found that when this happens, testing credentials on the monitored server from OpManager fails. When I check WMI credentials from OpManager on other servers, the check credential task fails as well. Then after a couple of polling periods I get an all clear notification and the credential test passes. This has probably been happening for
Cannot apply new license after old one expired

I tried to start the services and apply the new license by runing "\bin\run.bat", but when the script ask me for the license i get this "Invalid License" error: The license file specify the following OpManager info: <Product Category="OEM" Name="AdventNet ManageEngine OpManager" Type="Essential" Version="9"/> Is there something wrong with
SPM Issue
Hello, We have an issue with Switch Port Mapper, it does not show some information like Connected MAC, IP Address, DNS Name, Device Type. But, it shows only Interface name, Port no, Port status, Vlan Id, Vlan name, interface speed. Currently we are running OpUtils Build# 12200. We are using Cisco switches with SNMPv3 configured with auth and priv. The last switch that we added is Cisco Catalyst 3560 with IOS , 15.2(2)E4. Highly appreciated for your support to resolve this issue.
How does one edit an SNMP Monitor?
I added three custom SNMP Marker Supplies monitors based on the printer MIB for a Dell B3465dnf printer. At the time I was walking the MIB, I did not have the values to determine which OID related to Toner, Imaging Unit, and Maintenance Kit. I would now like to Edit the SNMP monitor to show the correct Supply and Units.
SMS flooding
Hello We are starting to get infinity SMS flooding, because SMS dispatch is not set in the SMS queue. We only see this when multiple alarms are recorded at the same time. When this happens, then we need to delete the SMS queue, but how do we prevent the SMS Queue to go into an infinity loop? I have received the SMS's on both 6917 and 6919 more than 30 times and it only stops if I delete the queue. Example below, shows the number of SMS's in the queue: | 6916 | 20832598 | SE1201.lutdak.local (DomainController)

OpManager v12 - VIWMI monitors still an issue
Good day We installed and are loving the new OpManager v12, however we came across an issue that affected the previous version as well. The inaccuracy of the VIWMI monitors, specifically the amount of available memory on our Hyper-V hosts. The System device details pulled through the information correctly though. (please see screenshot) Is this something that is prevalent in OpManager, or is it some factor on our side causing this inaccurate reading? There are other instances, like the difference

OpManager only querying SNMP version 1 not version 2c
I was querying a device, but OpManager (latest free version, installed today) only queries in SNMP v1 not v2c, as seen in the packet captures I analyzed. My device doesn't answer SNMP v1 so ignores the query requests. OpManager does not allow me to select v2c since there's no distinct option for that. Am I missing something? Thanks, Keith
Bandwidth Graphing Options with OpManager
If Cisco devices (in my case, older Cisco switches) don't support Netflow, does OpManager offer any kind of bandwidth graphing? I see the "Top 10 Interface Traffic" reports, but I'm looking more for a graph to look at usage over a period of time. Something like PRTG / MRTG / Cacti.... Didn't know if OpManager can go this far, or if Netflow is a requirement to get that level of granularity? Any assistance is appreciated.
Oputils SPM
Attempting to move to Windows Server 2012 with Oputils 8 and it hangs up on SPM import and will only import a limited about of devices, it hangs nmap, exe and conhost.exe (command prompts)on the server that cannot be killed and the server has to be rebooted. Anyone else having issues with this? Attempted to move to version 12 but they have not incorporated imports in SPM and IPAM and missing Tree Hierarchy in IPAM.... I attempted to load 70000 and ran into similar issues...

How do I recover the side menu bar in OpManager 11?

Device Templates
I have some virtual windows 2012 servers. They are asigned to both the VMwareVirtualMachine and Windows 2012 R2 templates. I want to remove the devices from the VMwareVirtualMachine and just use the Windows 2012 R2 Template. If I go into the associate section of VMwareVirtualMachine and remove the device what ever I do afterwards associate or apply & overwrite the devices are never removed. Any advise? Andy
