Using one rest API response as a key in another API
Hi I've added two of my APIs to OpManager Rest API Monitoring and one of them has an authentication key in its header. The other one is the API to get access token which will be used for the first one. How can I set the response of second API to be used by first API. sample response of second API: {"access_token":"XXX","token_type":"bearer","expires_in":86399} sample header request of first API: Authorization_sep_bearer XXX Thanks in advance
I have tehe Cisco Nexus 5548 switch I need to added more device templates. Where I can to do download of the MIB to this device?

OpManager 12.3 receives IT Pro Recommended Award
Our latest build, OpManager 12.3 has been gaining recognition from industry analysts. Recently, a UK-based business insights and analytics company, IT Pro, wrote an un-sponsored review of OpManager. IT Pro highlighted all of OpManager’s latest enhancements and features. OpManager also received an IT Pro Recommended Award. Read the full review here. Here is IT Pro’s final verdict after hands-on interaction with our network management solution:
End-of-Support for Modem based SMS and AppSMS notifications
Dear Customers, We are announcing end-of-support for Serial Modem based notification and AppSMS based notifications in OpManager. We had to remove Modem based SMS(serial modem)option due to the unavailability of support from the third party provider SMSLib. Though this feature is not available in the newer installations, due to compatibility issues in the new Java versions(OpManager 12.0 and above), existing customers who upgraded from older versions also faced issues. So, we have decided to announce
Disable Event Notifications from Workflow or Supporession interface
Now that they have added the ability to disable Event Notification profiles, please enhance the enhancement by adding the following: Ability to "disable all" notification profiles instead of just one at a time. Ability to "suppress notification profiles" as part of a scheduled maintenance. This would allow you to schedule the supression while console alerts are still active. Ability to disable event notification profiles from a workflow action. There is the ability to schedule maintenance but that
BCP build version is not matched with SQL server
Hi, I saw the error message from web portal. is it required same build number between MSSQL and OpManager? How to verify the error message is gone? will it really impact performance a lot? Thank you! Workflow: Task pause until system reboot
This is a question that might turn into an idea unless someone has some insight: I am trying to create a workflow that stops and disables Windows Services -> Reboots the server -> That enables and starts the services after the reboot is complete. The current "reboot system" task doesn't appear to wait for the system to reboot and become available again for it to move on to the next task unless I am doing it wrong. Is there a way to have a "pause workflow until rebooted" occur before moving on to
TCP-Port monitoring
Hi ALL! I need monitoring some EXTERNAL service from my OpManager. Service has only IP and port (like 123.33.22.11: 12345) How i can monitoring it ???
the DNS issue in auto-discovery
In OpManager inventory auto-discovery function, how to update DNS name automatically during auto-discovery instead of changing DNS name by manual after discovered? Code Chang
Lenovo server snmp monitoring
Hi, I am new to opmanager, and snmp monitoring. Does anyone have any experience in monitoring Lenovo servers - SR630, SR650, SR850. I am trying to get basic information into opmanager - eg temp\raid health etc. I have loaded the lenovo mib files into opmanager. is the xclarity adminstrator virtual appliance required? Thanks, Nigel
Adding SNMP Monitor failure
Hi, I noticed that adding an SNMP monitor to any device template fails with a time out, further digging I discovered that the community being used by opmanager is public to fetch the OID result in question. Why is the user not allowed to select the correct credentials i.e. community in order to query the device, suppose I am not using SNMPv1/2, in this case what am I supposed to do? public community is not recommended anyway.. Sounds like each time a user needs to add a monitor they will need to
OpManager/Opmanager Plus Query to find device/credential mapping
Hi, Is there a way to find which device uses which credential, for example a query from the database, or a report, etc... When a user tries to delete a credential while it is used by a device, it can't be deleted. thanks, Omar
Suppress Notifications but Not Alerts
Please add an option to Disable / Enable email notifications globally. During a maintenance period, it is incredibly useful to see the alerts in the OpManager web portal but NOT get hundreds of emails. We should be able to disable / enable either all notification profiles or select notification profiles.
Workflows and Windows Scripts
Does anyone have any real world workflows use-cases with scripting that they can share? I would love to see people's export XMLs of workflows and a description of what they accomplish. An example workflow I am trying to configure is to: Stop a windows service set that service to disabled (running a script that executes the SC CONFIG command. Restarts the server. Set the service to "enabled" running SC CONFIG Script Start the service. I have a VB script that works if I run it locally on the target
Opmanager v12 having issue with latest devices and WAN link monitor
Hello Team, 1) We have added Cisco 4451X routers and 3850X switches but device homepage we are not getting performance monitor dial like temperature and other. Do Opmanager support IOS XE devices ? Or all the MIB is included in opmanager v12. 2) Second is backplane monitor is not working in all Cisco devices. 3) WAN link monitor can not add Ethernet link. 4) While fetching wan link availability report it must show wan interface availability not parent device. As branches having two
Alert's for OpManager Server Down instances
Is there a way to monitor OpManger's connection external? We have Service Desk Plus well and OpManger is integrated with it. We have had many instances of our OpManger server going down but didn't know about it until we got in the office. Being that OpManger is what alerts us of outages, there's no way for it to alert us if the server it resides on goes down itself. Are there any other solutions you could offer?
Run Report on Custom Monitors
Please add the ability to run an Inventory Report on custom monitors across all devices. I should be able to select the Monitor Type in the report such as Windows Service, Process, script, etc. This would allow me to create a Discovery Rule run across my devices then know where a particular Service, Process, etc exists.
Devices disappear from business view when apply&ovewrite template
Hi, I had several categories in inventory with several devices. I modified a switch templated, applied and overworte the changes. Then I found several categories in inventory disappeared. I think when I changed the switch template this category overwrote the early categorie I created. I can understand this point. The real problem was that in several business views the devices that belonged this categories have disappeared but not all of them. The devices are still in the inventory but I need to know
Not all servers is displayed in the report.
I want to create a report "Availability and Response". I choose "Create New Report", select Availibility Category, choose Business View that I created earlier and in which I added 6 servers. All these servers are available and response. But in the report itself only 3 of 6 servers are displayed. Why can not all servers are displayed, despite the fact that they are all in the same category, they all work and are available?
[OpManager] user with administrator role but unable to see settings icon and cannot add new device
Hi, I'm having this issue with the Opmanager Build 12200 for user (local or Domain) account which was granted the Administrator role but could not see the settings icon or add new device. If in the user management section for the user's scope i grant it "All Devices", the user is able to see the settings and able to add new devices. But if I set the user's scope to "Selected Business Views" and select the appropriate business views, then I will see the problem where user cannot see the settings icon
Add Windows Service Monitor - Show Startup Type
On a device, you should be able to see the startup type when viewing the list of services. Right now it shows the display name, service name and status. Please add a column for Start Up type so we know if a service is Automatic, Automatic (Delayed) or Manual.
Cant Add blade Server In 3d view

Report and print problems
Hello everybody I've recently installed OpManager 12.3.001 Below are my problems: 1. When I generate a report ( Graphical ), the exported PDF is a single long page which is not printable! I mean, I can print it but it's size is not fit to paper. I have to shrink it and it wouldn't be neat enough to make a manager satisfied. 2. When I change the time from TODAY to any other options and then try to view graphs, it looks all graphs' state is related to TODAY again! I mean, how can I have all graphs
Interface Monitoring
I've add some devices into my inventory. Then I decide to change default interface monitoring intervals. But it doesn't take effect to those interfaces which had been added to project. If I add a new device it works. I tried to apply changes to ALL interfaces and Selected interfaces but the result is still the same. It's really hard to remove and add devices again.
Really hit or miss
We have 7 hyperv hosts - most do not get detected as a hyper v host - but incorrectly reported as Server 2012 R2. If I manually edit the machine details to a hyperv host it looses all the dial metric details and does not report on any hosted vms. I see this has been a common theme over the years but as I am using the latest version I thought this would not be an issue? Interestingly after deleting and adding dozens of times, doing a dance around the room and praying to the gods I managed to add 3
Peroformance monitors are not working
Dear, I have added performace monitors for 5585 ASA firewall but most of them are not working except systemup time and network interface. Anyhelp is much appreciated.
Opmanager v123036 add vmware esxi host failed with esxi 6.7u1
i can add esxi 5.5 host successful, but add esxi 6.7u1 failed, the method and credential are the same 1. the 2 esxi host has the same snmp setting, we only set public community string without password and the snmp server service are confirmed started Authentication: Communities: public Enable: true Engineid: 00000063000000a100000000 Hwsrc: indications Largestorage: true Loglevel: info Notraps: Port: 161 Privacy: Remoteusers: Syscontact: Syslocation: Targets: Users: V3targets: 2. my adding process
Notification Profiles Editing: Change Target and multi-select
There are 4 parts to this: 1. When I create a notification profile and select "By Category", that should still be how that profile selects targets. As it works now, going back in after selection "By Category, only gives me a list of devices and I can no longer select category. This makes it very difficult to group systems together for profiles. It also makes it less dynamic: If I add/remove systems from a category, the Notification Profile will automatically update. The moment you convert it to
Adding Multiple DNS Servers
I'm trying to add multiple DNS servers. When I attempt to do so, (separated by comas), it says it saves it but then when I refresh the page it goes away.

SNMP engine Id matches with the existing engine Id
We recently moved all of our systems from a 172.xxx.xxx.xxx subnet to a 10.xxx.xxx.xxx subnet. After the IP address change I attempted to add our firewall back into monitoring but when I add the firewall I receive an error "The host (10.xxx.xxx.xxx) is added as a non-SNMP device, since its engine Id matches with the existing engine Id of 172.xxx.xxx.xxx" I cannot change the firewall SNMP engineID, how do I remove the existing engine ID of 172.xxx.xxx.xxx
Free Disk Space (WMI) - different Threshold Values for each partition
Hello, We're currently monitoring multiple servers over WMI to get information about low disk space. So far, I have used the function via the device templates to assign the "Free Disk Space" monitor to specific device groups. But now I have the problem that some devices have several partitions in different sizes. Unfortunately, I can only set ONE value for the threshold, and this affects ALL hard disk partitions. But I want to set a separate threshold for each partition, without setting it up manually
WMI Metrics To Add
Please add the following WMI metrics: % Total Paging File Utilization Memory\% Committed Bytes in Use. This 2 metrics are more important to memory monitoring then % Memory utilized.
Rule Engine - Don't Add Disabled Service or non-existent process.
The rule engine almost allows me to apply a set of service or process monitors to a group of servers easily. The problem is, there isn't real intelligence to the rule engine. If I say "Monitor Service X" it will do that regardless of the status of that service. So if the service exists, but is in a disabled state, I will get an alert that the service is down. The same thing with the process: If it doesn't exist, OpManager still adds a monitor to the device but it obviously doesn't pull back data.
Reporting - Threshold Report
It would be great to have a per-device report that allows you to show all or specific thresholds for performance metrics across all of your devices. This would be huge to understand where metrics are set correctly or incorrectly or if we needed to update thresholds.
change severity levels of availability monitoring
As you may know: OpManager has four different severity levels for the alarms. Severity levels of device down alarms (availability monitoring) are already predefined Here is the list with the severity and the events which will trigger the alarms with these severity 1)Service Down: When is service down and URL monitor is down 2)Attention: When the device is down for the 1st poll in availability 3)Trouble: When the device is down for 3 consecutive polls in Availability 4)Critical: When the device is
The Failure of OpManager Discovery, Hardware Changes and Applications Services
Unless support was mistaken, the scenario is this: 1. I add more disk space or memory to a server. 2. OpManager does not automatically detect the additional space or hardware. 3. I have to perform a re-discovery of the device for my monitors to reflect the new space. So, to ensure my devices always have the proper values for the monitors, I need to (at least) create a daily schedule that rescans my devices. The other behavior is this: When DISCOVERY is performed, OpManager automatically detects the
