Custom Report - User Accounts in Multiple Groups
I was reviewing reports in Desktop Central, and my other ME products (AD Audit, Service Desk Plus). Desktop Central seems to be the best bet to get a report on users and current AD groups. I found the 'User Accounts in Multiple Groups' report. Is there a custom report that I could get which would generate something similar, but in a tabular/column format? user name, domain name, full name, last logon, a list of groups in comma separated text format I would like the list of groups in the comma

Does ManageEngine have a MSI creator for DC or do they recommend one? At my last employer, we used zenworks and it came with "admin tools" that we could use for MSIs.
New Desktop central licensing model and old customers
Hi I noticed that you recently changed your Desktop Central licensing model, where the Patch Management edition has been removed. I would like to ask, how does this apply to current customers? The change in pricing namely is really big if one just needs the PM edition. I also noticed the version 10 update. Is it possible to upgrade to that edition if one has the P v9? Thank you

Hello, I tried to use the Linux Client of Desktop Central for some Debian (Jessie, stable) workstations in the network. There are several things which seem very strange to me: 1. When installing patches, DC suggests me Debian patches from Backports. Where can I disable that? In this case it was an update of libgcrypt20 1.6.3+deb8u2 to 1.7.6-1~bpo8+1. 2. Where is DC getting the Debian package updates from? It seems that it doesn't use the package sources as configured in the client. How can I use
Deleting Firefox user.js
Hi, We try to push a default company homepage link to all our users browser (IE, Chrome & Firefox), but we got a problem on which the proxy port change from 8080 (our proxy port) into port 80 in all of the browsers while we only change the home page section and leave others option into "preserve client setting". Another problem is when we try to change the 80 port back into 8080 in Firefox, the change can't be permanent, even we close and reopen Firefox, it keeps show port 80. Any idea how to accomplish
Software version column in computer with/without specific software
I was creating a report to show me computer with a specific software and noticed that I can not display the software version. I run the report for multiple version of one software and it would be nice to see which version the computer in the report has. I can try and do this through custom report but the problem with that is that it list the same computer multiple times thus even though it only installed on maybe 10 computers the report list over thousand lines. I can filter this out in excel but
Multi PC Report Issue
I am trying to run a report with two specific search criteria's. I am trying to find the total number of computers between 2 different OU's. When I enter in the criteria's and everything else that I want it doesn't come up with a single machine in the report. I've tried several different combinations and options and nothing has worked. Any help would be appreciated. I've also attached a screenshot as to show what I'm actually selecting.

Current iTunes package for Desktop Central Self Server Portal is broken
Last night I created a package using the most current DS template for iTunes (12.6.0.95) (x64). The package was created successfully and was added to the Self Server portal on the desktop successfully. When I went to install on a desktop this morning - I hit an error right away via the Portal stating that a file could not be found. Upon inspecting the package within the Desktop Central - I immediately noticed that whoever created the package script - made reference to a file called iTunes6464Setup.exe
Block exe execution status
I've noticed the execution status under Inventory/Block Executable clears itself out after a certain period of time (leaving us no history of machines that it has successfully applied to). The policies created there also don't appear under the configurations section. Is there another way to pull this data, perhaps by a query report? Thanks, Jeff
Fetching warranty for HP computer
We use a lot of Hp computers and would be nice to see the warranty status. If I try to scan it I get the below. As per HP's policy, we are unable to continue fetching warranty information. While we explore alternate options, you can manually import the warranty details of HP Computers. Just wondering if this will ever be supported for hp computers?
Desktop Central Service Not Starting
Good morning everyone! Suddenly desktop central has stopped. When I went to the server, the service Manage Engine Desktop Central was stopped. I tried to started and worked but after a few seconds stops again. I can see a few messages in the log like this. Looks like a problem with the database. Is there anyway to fix it? Thanks. Skip downloading patches for computers excluded in the APD
I was wondering if there was a way to not download patches for computer in the APD that are marked as excluded. I have our APD set to exclude our servers since we don't want them patching. But I noticed that in the downloaded patches we have it set to remove patches after 3 months and not missing option. That works fine except that it has downloaded patches from 10 months ago since we don't patch servers they got scanned upon initial agent installation but have not been patched. Thus it downloaded
Migrate DC DB from postgres to MSSQL
Hello, I'm trying to migrate Desktop Central DB from PGsql to MSSQL. I've followed the steps provided on the Admin manual of DB migration. But. First, I couldn't find the batch file with migrate pg to MSSQL, it only available the batch migrateDBtoPostgres.bat. when I run the mentioned batch file, I get DC is successfully stopped and nothing happens after. how to perform the migrate? please assist. Issue with two technicians connecting to the same remote connection
Previously, this feature worked great. It appears after the last DesktopCentral patch (we are running build 10.0.56) was installed, we cannot connect to the same desktop at the same time. When you click on "View Desktop" it asks for a confirmation to connect (since a user is already on the desktop). When you click YES the button changes to "Loading" and never finishes the connection. Only refreshing the browser page clears that up and permits connection to a non-shared desktop.

At My Wits End with Desktop Central - Cannot Package and Deploy Software
When Desktop Central works, it's fantastic, but I find that 90% of the time, it just doesn't work and the chat now staff it 100% incapable of actually solving any issues. Hello everyone, I have been working with DC for a few weeks now and as I poke around more and more I learn newer and better things as I go. I'm trying to clean up my companies inventory/SoM computers that have not had contact with the DC agent for quite some time. However some of them have a last contact time as the same day that I am looking at that PC on the SoM computers list. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to go about to check and see if these agents are trying to contact
Uploaded logs but no ticket was created
I have uploaded logs and got an email saying that file has been uploaded to the server and that an email was sent to desktopcentral-support@manageengine.com but I have yet to get an email acknowledgement saying that a ticket was created. Edit: did not get the acknowledgment but someone did respond that they are going to analyze the logs.
Critical update for Desktop Central versions older than 92056!
What is the change? Desktop Central's patch management has released a new schema to support various features for Windows, Mac & Linux patch management. What will be the impact? If you are running Desktop Central version older than 92056, you will not be able to synchronise the latest patch updates. What should I do? Upgrade to the latest build on or before 16th March 2017, to continue using patch management.
Deploying Configurations - Concurrent push count
Good morning, When deploying a configuration to a large number of computers, how many machines will it actually process at one time? Say I'm targeting 1500 machines... will it push to groups of 10, 25, 40 at once? I know I've seen this answer somewhere before, but I am unable to find it now. Thank you, J.W.
Recently installed software report
Is there a way to run the report so that it only lists each individual software package once with a summary column of how many computers the software was installed on? Currently, the report has one line per computer per package. Its easy to miss undesirable software that was installed on just one computer because it gets lost in all the noise from all the other installs. For example, "today's" report has 49 lines for me but there were actually only 5 or 6 different packages installed.
