Hi, I've got the checksum validation error for Flash Player 26.0.0.131 package (BulletinID TU-008). I can't install the latest security patches of that software only. I use Manage Engine Desktop Central on my company, how can I prevent users from installing any new software on their machines except the domain admins ?
Archive a machine
I'd like to see the ability to archive a machines information in desktop central. As an example we have numerous machines that have had DC installed on them at some point but may not be not in use currently, in storage, etc. I'd love the ability to tell DC to archive this machine. I could then uninstall the agent, the machine's data/history would still be searchable in DC by its service tag, but would no longer be listed in patch scans or any other views. Except maybe the SOM View but even there
Computers being deleted the next day after joining DC
Hi, We are having a problem DC (Build Version:10.0.91) where computers are being deleted once the client has been installed on the machine. So when we build a computer we get this message in our admin mailbox. As you can see from this email the machine was built on the 27/06/2017 at 3:23 and as part of the build process the DC agent gets deployed. The next day we get this message in our admin email account. This is only deleting the computer from DC as the computer object in AD is still there. So
Remote Site Agent get Uninstalled by USBConfigurationAction
Hi all, As of a few days ago my remote site Agent installed on several PC and Server is getting automatically uninstalled, this is only happening on one remote site of 3. I have a question. I have a computer tagged as Highly Vulnerable that has 1 failed patch to deploy. Is there a way to ignore that patch for that single computer and not globally so when I click on "highly vulnerable", that computer will not show up.

Only Allowing the Self Service Portal Shortcut to Certain Users
Hi, I would like to start using the self service portal for some of the machines that we manage, but I only want the shortcut to show up on certain users machines. We have remote sites that we manage that won't need this and in the interest of DC being silent, we have chosen not to have the tray icon. Patch Deployment at Windows Log on Screen
We have within our network a handful of PC's that run Deep Freeze which prevents any configuration changes to a device while in a "frozen" state Therefore in order to apply windows updates we have to set up a maintenance period for these devices within the Deep Freeze software. We've set up Desktop Central to scan, download and deploy any required patches on a schedule within this maintenance window. Remote office IP Server VS Local Office IP Server
Why Desktop Central can't have different IP's for Remote offices vs Local Office.. We want to users outside of building to be able reach DC Server thru internet (aka WAN) but every time I change IP to external network it updates it on all Remote Offices to same IP.. I don't want all of them to be WAN... we have couple location that only has MPLS access to internet and by doing this it will not let them connect to server.. is there feature or work-around to get this solved?

We rarely, if ever have any issues with patch management or downloads of patches. However, we do GeoIP blocking and we've seen 2 IPs that are source locations for patch downloads outside of the United States. These are: 202.153.32.19 211.79.60.17 A quick whois on them says they belong to Excell-Net out of India. We are trying to configure automatically the phone extension for our dialer software, getting the extension number from our intranet, and creating a .reg file with the user data and the extension data. We created a collection with the "custom script" for .bat file, and then the "registry" option to import the .reg file, using a local path with a manageengine variable, that looks like this: "\users\$domainusername\uagentsettings.reg" The .bat file works, it creates the file on the c:\users\nameoftheuser\uagentsettings.reg.

sorry, When I try to delete a user, I deleted the user admin. It was a screen refresh problem. I push to delete de user, but it did not work... I try again, and delete two users... ( user and admin ). I recreate again the user admin, but the user was created without administrator privileges .. Hi, I compared to this problem today. When i update my system to Windows 10 Creators. My Agent is disable. Then, i looked Windows Control Panel, i saw "agent downloeded pc". But, this is not run. This PC is see RED (Disable&close) in Desktop Center Manager. I try another computers about this problem. Same problem about it. Is there a mismatch about Agent (Windows 10 Creators Update).? I'm planning on setting up automatic patch deployment, but I'd like to have to ability to roll back or uninstall a patch across the board if it is causing problems. There doesn't seem to be an "uninstall" option when looking at installed patches. Is there a way to do this?

Scheduled Wallpaper change
I have manage engine service desk and desktop central. I know how to create a policy to change a selected groups wallpaper to a specific jpg. I need to do this on a schedule. (every 4 hours). We're using a jpg as a dashboard and need to put it on a groups desktop as the wallpaper. How can I do this from either of the platforms mentioned above? Is it possible?
