Desktop Central suddenly shows up 5 year old Patches ...
... that don't match as well. For more than 200 Systems! Installing those patches on a testsystem fails (See attached screenshot) For now, all systems are marked as highly vulnerable. So its not that easy to figure out the machines that are really highly vulnerable now. DC build is 10.0.236, restarted DC-Service, synced Patch database several times. Old patches remain after Patchscan of all Systems after syncing. Any Ideas?

We used to use Waterfox and have now switched to Firefox as it is fully 64-bit, but Desktop Central keeps re-installing Waterfox when there is an update! How can I stop it doing that or block Waterfox?

Tray Icon modifications
Hi all, Does anyone know if it's possible to modify the tray icon and its menus at all? I've attached a screenshot and I've already looked in the settings for the agent tray icon settings and they are set as follows - (tick) in show agent icon in the System Tray. Query report for hardware information
Hi, I'm trying to run a report in DC to get me some information. I can't see any default reports that give me that information so I'm wondering if it's possible to do it from a query report. Hi, I am trying to push the agent to PC's using the new Scope of Management feature. As we moved from the non MSP version to MSP, some of the PC's still have the old agent installed. Will the SoM install remove the old version or will that have to be done manually? Thanks Tim

Dear Team, We are using desktop central 10.0.0.218 and wanted to upgrade to 10.0.0.236. During the upgrade process the server got rebooting due to other application and now the desktop central server service is not getting started. And even not allowing me to upgrade again. Please help me to fix it
MSP vs Standard version
Does anyone have experience using both versions of Desktop Central? Is there a functional difference in the MSP version that makes it better for MSPs when compared to the standard version?
Agent slowing down computers?
Is anyone else noticing this? I have a few people that have complained of intermittent freezing. When I check DesktopCentral, the last contact time is usually right around the time they were experiencing the freezing.

Java 8.74 package on x64 machines
Hello I have been tasked to created a package that removed Java then installs Java 8.74 i586 with some necessary config after the install. I have created a package for 32bit machines however on 64 bit machines it fails to install with the error "The system cannot find the path specified." But the other os such as win 7 and xp are working well.if we reinstall it , it can be seen online for few hours.A few hours later , it's offline again . How Can Change Agent Server Name?
Hello there, I set up the server with desktop.xxx.com name. I then created a dns record with the name mypassword.xxx.com as cname. I opened this server out of port 443. When I do the troubleshooting, it connects without any problems inside, but when I test it out, it searches for desktop.xxx.com. How can I change this part as shown in the attached picture

Schedule registry configuration
Is there a way to schedule a registry configuration? I have a registry change that needs to happen after we apply windows updates from WSUS and I would like to schedule it for after the updates.

We have been trying to use the new OS deployment module in Desktop Central but this feature requires TFTP and port 69 which is not allowed by our security policy. Would there be any alternative to to this in DC. Many thanks
Linux patch management not showing any updates
Hi I would like to know what the point of the Linux patch management feature is. I installed it on a Debian machine, but I never see any updates in ME DC, while my Linux system has some (and even important Apache security updates!) available. Does the patch management feature work exactly like on Windows machines? That is, it is showing all available updates for that machine? If so, there another issue is causing the updates not to show up in my ME interface.
Unable to update Desktop Central - Service Desk Plus integration issue
We had a one year trial version of Service Desk Plus that we integrated when setting up Desktop Central. Due to reasons that could not be resolved by support, after a couple months we eventually reverted back to an earlier backup. However, we no longer use Service Desk Plus (nor is it configured for anything). Hello, I have a series of Linux pcs recently installed with Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver. They are on a samba-based AD domain. Some of these machines used to have Linux Mint before being reinstalled, and the inventory scans were running fine. Unable to edit Custom Groups.
I had created Custom Groups dynamically based on the machine names. Later on when I want to add one more criteria so that kind on machines are also added to the Custom Group, I am not able to edit the group. It seems the only option is to delete the group and recreate it which is a tedious task as I have a lot of such dynamic custom groups.
summary report on installed commercial software
I'm just looking for a report that displays in matrix style on the y-axis, a list of workstations/laptops names, users, groups. On the x-axis, a list of all the commercial installed applications with installation count per workstation/laptop with a sum on the bottom. I have at least 3 customers asking for this report. Deploying a network printer and set it as default
So I have been able to use the IP Printer configuration option to add a network printer to a user/computer, and a custom script configuration to set the printer as the default. I want these to run automatically when a user logs into a shared PC. My question is, how to ensure the IP Printer configuration is applied before the script to set the printer as the default?

Desktop Central MSP Android Mobile App issue
An error message is generated when I try to connect using the Desktop Central MSP mobile app on my Android device. The message states - "Upgrade your server to Desktop Central MSP version 100225 to continue using the app". I checked the service pack page and don't see build 10.0.225, where's it hiding?
Put back "Next Run" column for Automated Patch Deployment
The "Next Run" column has to be put back in the dashboard for Automated Patch Deployment. I've created tickets about this that have been ignored. It was removed when the patch deployment schedule was changed. This is unbelievably inconvenient.
