Hi, I had a problem with my central desktop server and had to reinstall. Some computers had USB locked, even removing the agents and not having but this configuration of USB lock is still blocking. How do you solve it?
Agent Install
I have about 140 Laptops/Tablets in the field. Many of them have not connected to the corporate network in quite some time. I have the install in a ZIP that is accessible from our corporate website. The issue I have is our users do not have Local Admin rights. In looking at the setup.bat file it requires it to be run as an admin. I need a way to get the BAT file to run itself as admin without a UN/PW prompt (I can provide that info for the script) or a separate BAT file that will set the Admin
Font size in notification popup
Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to modify the font size of DCs patch notification. Sometimes the font is very small especially on 4k screens. Not only the message itself is very small then also the button text is very small. Best regards, Daniel

Patch scan scheduling
Documentation says to use Patch Mgmt\Automate Patch Deployment\Schedule Patch task...schedule Patch Task is not an option, only Automate Task...from Automate Task, "Scan the Systems to Identify the Missing Patches" is never an option.
Server changes to wrong IP address
Hi, I've been struggling with getting Desktop Central to use the correct IP address on the machine it's installed on. It also runs VirtualBox so it has an interface for that and Desktop Central want to use that IP as the address it starts on on the real interface address. The alert on the Home says "Desktop Central Server IP has changed Desktop Central Server IP has changed from 10.1.1.100 to 192.168.56.1. Update the new IP Address to ensure proper Agent-Server communication. Update Now" 10.1.1.100

Add clients based on IP
Hi, I have just recently decided to give Desktop Central a try - but I am already failing in adding at least one client. Maybe I am just doing something fundamentally wrong: - I added the client using the SoM page - using its fully qualified name (note: I am not running MS Active-Directory, my client PCs are not part of a Windows domain - i thus just added their workgroup). The name I am using is the one that can be successfully resolved using my local router (tested with nslookup in a Windows shell)
copy and replace file using file configuration
I have a file i need to replace on computer that are outside the network. When I use the File Folder Operation (Computer) I do not see any option when copying to replace the file. The file I am copying is the same name as a current file in the location. If I do delete file and then add more file / folder and hit the copy radio button it will not let me select copy using http. Since these computers are outside the network i can not copy the file from network share. Is there any way to either
Architecture to Inventory
Have a structure to your inventory of computers that mimics AD or can be customized. You can filter by group but only static group but not dynamic group. Even filtering by dynamic group would be helpful.
Windows 10 hardware inventory not working
Hello, I've deployed DC in customer's environment. AD 2016 with couple of Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktops. Deployment went well. Patch inventory works well on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers, but hardware inventory does not work on Windows 10. Troubleshooting on Windows 10 computers shows only warning regarding Defender AV. But Defender was disabled in GPO. I have no idea how to make the hardware inventory to work.... Patch Management Reboot Schedule
I'm looking for a way to schedule a reboot from patch management, I can only see an option to force a shutdown immediately, do not disturb if logged in or allow users to postpone. None of these options are what I require. From what I understand you can only schedule a forced reboot from the "Tools" menu, which takes me away from the patch management section which conveniently shows me all devices that need a reboot. old patches showing up as missing
All the sudden today I have some pc showing old patches from last year. Most are Security Only Quality Update for Windows 7 for x64. Not all windows 7 pc are showing missing only some. On a few machines that already tried to patch. this morning the patch error out with unknown error code error. see screenshot

Hi, I have created support ticket #5111680 yesterday, but nobody answered me yet On some clients when I perform an asset scan I get an error Failed to initiate scan task for [some machine]. Scanning Failed . On another machines everything is fine. When I checked invsummarylog - I found this error Data storage error occured while populating asset data. Formerly I had "one" patch deployment schedule working for weekends. Machines which were not reachable, due to being shut down, or mobile workstations, would patch as soon as they were turned on, or connected via VPN, as soon as they connected to our DTC server. That worked well for us for a matter of years. I kept the old deployments until they would have been automatically deleted, before recreating them with the new "enhanced APD. Installing missing patches during deployment.
Hi Although applications can be installed automatically after an OS deployment, it should also be possible to automatically apply approved patches. At present the deployment process is slow and/or disjointed. Following OS deployment and automatic install of the DC Agent, a PC is still not listed under 'Managed System' in patch management until a patch scan has been completed. Hye all, I was wondering if there is a way I can have different settings for applying automatic patching to PC's and servers I obviously have to have patchiung happening during the day and a patch failed on my Exchange server and disabled all of the services and kicked everybody out. I was wondering if it possible to setup a scheduled report based on the action log viewer filtered by user. Is there any way to get a report or summary based on what technician ME DC user have done? Ie under action log viewer i can filter by user and see a log of all action that user has done in the past 30 days, is it possible to schedule a report based on that?
Automating VS Manual patch install by schedule question/issue
Since i'm new to Desktop Central, I have been reading the documentation and watched a few videos. However I am still a little confused on how the automation of patches works. Right now, i am in the process of cleaning up our environment of missed patches as well as going forward, installing patches on a time based schedule. Currently, this is what I have done: Created test deployment policy. Set Mon- Fri each week, 6am to 5am Initiate deployment is set to Either WOL & Download Patches are checked.

Please change the way you publish the "Read Me" for Service Packs. Patch Management Automate Deployment Suspend Issues
I have two groups for automated deployment. As i rebuild our patch management process, schedules and groups change. Problem I am having is that if I change say the days a task is set to go off on, or change the time frame. Once it's saved, the task is no longer in suspended mode and it starts pushing what updates it has right away. Is there a way to keep a task in suspend mode until it is manually unsuspened? Over the course of the next few months, I will be slowly patching and updating machines.
Which logs should be looked at first?
I am coming from working with Microsoft's SCCM to working with Desktop Central. I've been put in charge of the Patch Management process and revamping it and fixing issues with it. With SCCM, i know which logs i need to look at first to help determine where the troubles may have started and to help get issues resolved more quickly. In previous version we have used the report: "User Reports, Inactive User Accounts" Now i've noticed that this report is only taking information from one domain controller, however in the past this was updated perfectly over all domain controllers.
