Desktop Central License Association to Computers
I am trying to associate licenses to a specific software with no success. The amount of licenses is correct and I have filled in all the other information and added the license file. When I click to associate to machines nothing shows. Not sure If am doing wrong but the summary page doesn't show the license as used.
Delete registry value doesn't check if value exists and runs into an error
Hi, I'm deploying a configuration to disable autostarting an application by removing its autostart entry from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Since I don't know on which machines the autostart is enabled I'm deploying the config to all machnies but on machines without this registry value the config exited with an error "The system can not find the specified file". Which looks like there is no check if the value exists before dc tries to delete it.

citrix patch download
My server can not download the newest CitrixReceiver4.9.600.exe patch from https://downloads.citrix.com/15913/CitrixReceiver.exe?__gda__=1556884353_5e4db8c1d31feb05ca0291217462e29d when i went to citrix website and download the update and tried to upload it I got invalid checksum. I also had issue download the citrix workplace patch. I noticed that the site it is download from is different. I tried to download from https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/windows-ltsr/receiver-for-windows-ltsr-latest.html.
Desktop Central (high cpu usage on Server 2012)
Hello, I am testing Desktop Central on a small group of machines on a local Workgroup. I have installed a fresh copy of Windows Server 2012 on my ESXi server. Upon installing Desktop Central, my CPU usage spikes to 80-90%. The process taking up most of it is postgresql. I can't seem to figure out why this is as this doesn't happen on a local machine. This is a simple test installation, nothing else on the server. Any advice is appreciated
System Manager Field Chooser
Having the ability to search for computers in System Manager via the Description field would be a huge benefit. My point, when joining computers to Active Directory we use the Asset ID for the computer name and the Description field to identify the users. Desktop central database holding AD data
We are running a single AD domain, with multiple countries in different delegated OU's. We have set our SoM to be limited to the correct OU, however, report are pulling details from the whole of the domain and this is being held within the database. has anyone else experienced this? is there a way to limit this and purge the database? thanks
How to change path/location where Distribution Servers download the patches and software when replicate from DC Server?
Is there a way to change the path or location where a Distribution Server stores the Patches and Softwares replicated files? If I'm not mistaken this is the original path: C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_DistributionServer\replication. But I would like to know if there is way to modify to a different location and Agents still be able to reach for them when contacting the Distribution Server. Thanks in advance,

Unable to get Desktop Central to work with Amazon Workspace
Hello, We have multiple Amazon Workspaces in our environment that we have been unable to install desktop central on. I'm unable to remote deploy, I just get a network error every time. I've worked with ManageEngine support and done the suggestion of opening ports 135 and 445 but it did not help at all. I've also been able to manually install DC on the workspace after doing some registry changes but even though it's installed, it's still not showing up in DC. We are able to ping the workspace from

Microsoft releases fix for the Wormable vulnerability (CVE-2019-0708)
Microsoft released this month's edition of Patch Tuesday with fix for a highly critical vulnerability. This vulnerability (CVE-2019-0708), dubbed "Wormable vulnerability", resides in "Remote Desktop Services" component and could be exploited remotely by sending specially crafted requests over RDP(Remote Desktop Protocol) to a targeted system. This vulnerability is present in Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 and in older versions like Windows XP and Windows 2003 as well.
Server is automatically rebooting
One of my servers is logging everyone out and rebooting. There is no option to postpone. It is part of my Dynamic Group server test group, but that group is set to "Deploy during business hours(Do not reboot)". Why would the server be ignoring the deployment policy and forcing a reboot? MDM without Secure Gateway
Hello, We using Desktop Central as Freeware-Edition and now I want to use the MDM-Part. I am reminded that one could use mdm without a gateway. Is this still possible or do I need a license for the gateway. If so, it will also be needed for the freeware version? Is there a test license to test the function in advance? Ralph
Desktop Central in a docker/container
I am using windows server 2016 and have another management program running, in my experience the two programs will conflict at some point so i just assume virtualize or utilize docker. If anyone has some advice for me i would appreciate it! Will update with my progress.

Question about patch location and folders
I have noticed recently that machines that are missing patches don't seem to have a "patch" folder in the Desktop Central folder directory. IE: C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_Agent\patches Those that do have the "patches" folder, don't seem to be showing on the Missing Patches report, Vulnerable or Highly Vulnerable report. Addition of event logs to Inventory View
Sometimes we need to look at event logs to determine an issue. In some cases, at the time we get to it, the machine isn't online so we can't use the system manager. What's the possibilities of adding a tab in the Inventory View where we have the system, hardware, software, etc to display the logs? Superseded Updates still showing as Missing Updates
I have 65 updates that have been Superseded, going all the way back to August of 2018, that are showing up as Missing Updates. Of these 65, one of them was declined back in September of last year, but is still on the missing lists. Alerting on Server Start up Failure
Does anyone know where the alerts for "Desktop Central Server Start up Failure" come from or are set? At the moment we have one old employee getting the alert and one who isn't an admin getting it. I checked in Admin - Server settings and the notifications settings point to an admin directly. Desktop Central DS Install locking AD accounts
Every since we upgraded to 10.0.347. when ever we try to install a new DS at a site, Desktop Central locks the AD account without installing the server. The error then reads in Desktop Central "The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to." We can unlock it, repeat and same issue. Hi, I recently downloaded the trial of desktop central and everything has been working wonderful. Is there a way to access the administrator portal when i'm off the LAN? Right now, the only way I can access the portal is by logging into the localhost:8020. I want to be able to access this from anywhere and be able to remote control desktops in my environment from any location with internet access. Thanks.

Hi, we are looking at ManageEngine to replace our Quest KACE Appliance primariyl for asset management but im already running into an issue. In KACE, we can manually assign devices to users, and that list is populated from our AD User import. In Desktop Central, I can only see how to assign a device to a user by manually typing into the "Owner" field. Is it possible to manually assign users from a dropdown with info fed from AD imports?

Patch Download speed/time limiting
Morning, I've been trying to implement the patch management feature of Desktop Central. However, I've been running into a problem: we're on a very limited internet connection, and when it tries to download patches it entirely maxes out the connection and the other staff can't work.
