Rename a domain computer via Desktop Central
Hello, I suppose this is quite a basic task, but I failed to find a working solution. Is it possible to rename a domain joined computer via Desktop Central? Does anyone know if I can push the latest drivers for my laptops through desktop central? Specifically, I need to update the wireless drivers on all my laptops. I can touch each one and do it through the manufacturer's support website but I would love to be able to centraly control that!
AD Sync Settings - Question about OU's
I believe I know the answer to this question, but I wanted to verify and I couldn't find it anywhere in official documentation or through questions on this forum. When adding OU's to the AD sync settings in Desktop Central, does it automatically include any "child" OU's listing under the parent or do they each need to be checked individually? My patch database failed to sync this morning (Saturday). Anyone else getting these messages? The link in the messages is "dead". I am on 10.0.433. Suppress USB Disabled Messages
Hi there, I've recently enabled securing of USB for my company's domain. There were options to disable CD/DVD as well and I have checked those too. All the functions work fine and well however my desktop users are prompted with the storage device block message prompt each time they login since obviously DC would detect the CD/DVD ROM as it's forever connected. C&C security threat found on Trend DDI from Desktop Central

Is there a way to manually remove superseded patches from showing in Desktop Central
I've been told that the computers for these patches that have been superseded need to be removed from desktop central. That cannot be the case. Some of the machines are remote users who don't always connect to the companies VPN, thus they aren't reporting all the time. I did however check my missing patches. Installed Patches - discrepancy
I have a Windows Server 2016 Datacenter VM that has the Desktop Central Agent installed and the scanning status is showing OK, but for some reason the count (results) showing on Installed Patches differs (show less) from the ones I see on the Installed Updates (Control Panel) inside the machine. What does Error code 10008 mean ?
The patch database in DesktopCentral has suddenly stopped updating this week and we don't know why. We suspect it may be something to do with our proxy server. I noticed in the serverout log it has error messages referencing error code : 10008. If we could identify what this error code means then it might give us a clue as to where the fault lies.
CU Patching Issue
I feel Desktop Central is deprecating superseded patches too quickly. I have two machines failing to install 2019-08 CU for Windows Server 2016. 2019-07 CU was approved tested and partially deployed in my environment when it got disabled by the Patch DB Update Wednesday after Patch Tuesday. Cannot migrate default database to MSSQL in AWS RDS
I am following the instructions listed for migrating the database, but I keep getting an error message: "Socket Time Out while trying to fetch database instances from host". Successfully scanned systems still showing as "health not available" in the Dashboard
Let me preface this by saying I'm new to using Desktop Central. I've got a bunch of systems reporting as "health not available" in the dashboard, and about a third of them are legit. However, the remainder have all been successfully scanned recently and seem like they shouldn't be in there. I've poked through the documentation and googled a bit, but can't find a reason why they aren't clearing out. Can anyone illuminate me on this?
