DCConfiguration File Operation (Upload) via HTTP fails with error
During a "File Folder Operation", copy, in a configuration/collection we get error "Error while copying files : The process is not in background processing mode." We have tried multiple paths and with and without ZIP with the same message. We cannot get HTTP to upload a very tiny file to the PC via this collection. I have uploaded/sent the client logs referencing this forum post.

Blank reports (console and sent by mail)
Hello, Desktop Central with remote MS SQL, everything is OK (AD sync, agent deployment, inventory report, patch management...) but I don't have reports in console, I can configure schedule reports but are sent without data (header and footer OK). I have tried with Internet Explorer and Firefox and have same problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Jose.

dcappcontrol.exe crashes
We're working on pushing out the desktop agent to all of our computers. I've got one XP box that keeps throwing errors. dcappcontrol.exe - Unable to Locate Component This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I've tried removing and reinstalling the application. I've also tried the fix listed in Microsoft's KB 319114. Neither has resolved my issues. ME MDM app Distribution for Windows Phones
Hi, I have about a hundred Windows mobile phones already enrolled of Desktop Central MDM. I am trying to now distribute the ME MDM app to them, I have created the AET certificate and downloaded and signed the ME MDM app. I want the distribution to be as silent as possible for the users, In the ME MDM App Distribution window, would selecting "Install Automatically" result in a silent install and not require any user intervention? Is there a way to distribute the App to a group of test devices first?

1. Is there a way to customise the Vulnerable System Report to filter on approved patches only? 2. What is the best way to get a view for each system of how many and which approved patches have been installed and how many/which patches are missing?
Issue with Patch Summary
Why does the patch deployment report show failed clients when all the patches have been deployed? Is this a system bug of some sort? When I click on the individual machine it shows no additional patches to be deployed. See Attached Picture

Hello, I'm wonder if there is a way I can automate patch deployment for certain patches, for example, Firfox,Skype, the ones do not require restart. For others which require restart, like system patches, I can still deploy them manually (with DC) on the same machines? Thanks, Zahid

Issue with HTML5 viewer in Chrome/Insecure Ciphers
We're running into an issue launching the HTML5 viewer in Chrome 48, where upon launching a session we see this error: Secure Web Socket Connection (https:\\) to server failed. Please add the Server's certificate to browser's exception list. There is then an "Add Exception" button that attempts to bring up our server URL with :8081, assumingly to show the certificate and allow us to add it. This brings us to a Chrome error page stating: "This Webpage is Not Available ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH"
Scheduled Inventory scan not working on 90199
Ever since upgrading to 91099, my scheduled Inventory asset scan has not worked (over the last week or more..) I have 4 different domain groups and the results for all 4 are 'Not Scanned'. I can run a manual scan that works. When I first go to the Inventory tab, there is a banner up top saying the "Inventory Summary Reports are not up-to-date". When I generate the new report, the last scan dates are still from when I've done the last manual scan. Has anyone else seen this? Any fix? Thx.

Adobe acrobat X and XI updates missing Affected Products information
As you can see below there is no version information for any of the Affected Products. This one pictured is for Acrobat X and the same also shows when I look at Acrobat XI. Just with Acrobat X, I should have 151 computers getting the update. Scheduled Reporting
Trying to setup a scheduled report for active users but it does not give us all the users in our domain. We have around 1000 people in out domain but it come back with about 30 people. Is there some kind of setting I'm not seeing?

Remote Control confirmation specific Users
Here's what I'm looking to do. 1. PC Techs will have ability to remote control any machine without confirmation as they always have. 2. UserA will only have the ability to remote any machine WITH confirmation. Question on how patches are rolled out
I noticed that a single Windows update will list a system multiple times. For instance, MS15-116 will be listed for a system for Access, Publisher, and Word. Each instance has a different patch ID number. So, I have two questions; Does the client get queried multiple times for the same Bulletin? Does the get the same Bulletin pushed to it multiple times? We are having issues with the updates taking too long and this could be part of the problem. Thanks, Beck

By default the url name after the installation is http://localhost:8020 . i want to change the url name to desktopcentral. Where can i change this. In DSP you can easy change this in the general settings.
Software License Question
Good day, I setup Manage License to track how many Microsoft Office 2013 Pro Plus installation we had (these were incorrectly installed by a contractor) so we could begin the process of uninstalling them and install O365 Pro Plus. Migrating to SQL Server error on login
I want to migrate the PostgreSQL database to SQL Server 2008 R2 on another machine. I cannot use the sa account to do so. Windows Patch Updates using all available disk space
I have been applying Windows Updates to my fleet of Win7 computers for about 6 months now. The computers all have 128GB hard drives and are now becoming full of old updates that are never cleared out. What is the best way to use Desktop Central to recover disk space again? Cheers, Steve.

Migrate DC build 91085 from 32-bit to 64-bit
Have a business need to migrate our DC instance from an old 32-bit server (Win 2k3) to 64-bit server (Win 2k8 R2 or higher). The documentation I found (https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/desktop-central-server-migration-how-to.html?dci) says to NOT migrate from 32 to 64. Is this still the case? Isn't there anything I can do to migrate the data over/restore the database on a new server? Thank you, Spence Lome
Latest released patches notification (Think Mitre CVE)
Is there an easy way in patch management to see what the latest released patches are? I know I can go into the patches and sort by date but having something similar to the Mitre CVE website or Adobe's critical update notification would be helpful to keep it all in one place. Is there a report that can be run perhaps to let you know of the latest patches that were added to the database? Thanks.

Last boot time (Where does it get this from)
Hey all, Long time listener, first time caller (poster). I have a client that runs this software, that I have full access to and they repeatedly ask me questions that I cannot answer. Haha! The client is reporting incorrect boot times and dates in ManageEngine Desktop, I can confirm they are the incorrect dates, so I was wondering where this information is pulled from? Is it pulled from the machines system time? If so, this might explain why it is incorrect. Any insight would be very much appreciated.
patch scan discrepancy
Hello, I have few systems which I tried to scan with DC and it comes with very few (5) MS Office updates, and NO OS updates, but when I ran Windows update, it came up with 37 OS updates. Its been happening with other systems as well. I already uploaded the logs!! Please advise! thanks, Zahid
Patch Mgmt - Mozy Unable to Reach the Domain
I've been getting a warning on my Patch Mgmt tab indicating "Desktop Central server does not have access to reach some domains to download patch related files in the following formats: .7z, .zip, .exe, .msi etc ". Checking the details shows 3 URL's for Mozy backup (not used) that are failing. Is everyone else having the same issue?
Uninstall Microsoft Project & Visio Silently?
So this would assume to be super simple.. Silently Uninstall Visio Pro/Premium & Project Professional 2010. Until i try to do it from Desktop Central. The standard Uninstall button doesn't work. Copying scripts below and deploying them doesn't work. Script that everyone on the internet says works.. Which works Manually ran but not from Desktop Central via .bat. Basic Script to begin Uninstall: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\Office Setup Controller\setup.exe" /uninstall
agent not auto updating
I have a few servers in a remote office that will would not update the agent. Is there a way to reinstall the latest agent form the machine? I can not manage the servers from the web console because it show as if the computers are offline, so i can not remotely uninstall the agent. When I try to push the new agent it tells me that it first needs to be uninstalled which I can find how to do. I have tried running the install script but it does not work.
Silent Agent Deploy via Script
I'm look for some help creating a script to install the desktop central agent. The script will run as part of the Windows Deployment Toolkit task sequence once after the reference image has been applied so it will not be generalized. Best way to upgrade and patch multiple versions of Adobe Falsh
My company just started using Desktop Central (this month) and I'm wondering what would be the best way to upgrade multiple different versions of Adobe Flash? It appears they now have an update to prevent Ransomeware and we'd like to get everyone upgraded. If I push down the latest patch will that automatically upgrade older versions or do I need to setup and upgrade path for all the older versions first? We've never been able to upgrades like this in the past so we have a wide range of versions
