Agent Install Problem-Access Is Denied
Everytime I try to install the agent remotely I get an "Access Is Denied" error. The computer is on a workgroup which is named WORKGROUP, I have the username and password in the box the same as the one on the computer I'm trying to install to and I have Workgroup selected on Network Type. On the remote computer I have the firewall disabled and the antivirus disabled as well. The firewall and antivirus is disabled on the computer that DC is installed on. Uninstall Agent Problem
It isnt allowing me to uninstall the agent. When I try to uninstall the agent, it keeps on going to the "uninstallation failed" section. How do i overcome this error? I would like to uninstall all the agents and start from scratch... remove the DesktopCentral folder or at least the files inside this folder from each PC. How is this possible. Thanks!
DBFix problem
Ever since I did the DBfix for Ver.6 most of my PC cant install the agent anymore. Im getting two different error messages: "Unable to get the agent status. Software Push
We are pushing one app through Desktop Central. Desktop Central reports that the app push installed sucessfully on this one PC. Looking at the event viewer of the PC also reveals (MSIInstaller event) that the app installed successfully. However, each time we reboot the PC, we look into the event viewer and find an MSIInstaller event for the app, which leads us to think that it's being re-installed each time the PC is restarted. If this is so, does DC check to determine whether an app is installed
Linux Server - Windows Clients

I have this problem on my computer that really gives me a hard time. Anytime i start my computer, a message from windows installer appears on screen saying: wait for in for installation to start. After a minute, windows installer ask me to insert a CD or browse into the exact location of the files to install the the photo gallery package. problem after running dbfix
Hi, I use DC in Workgroup env. After running dbfix script, we lost all data and we had to reconfigure all again, that's O.K because we were told that it would happen. But, after adding computers with the SOM, DC does not recognized that agents are already installed in the machines. I tried to install again, but it doesn't work. It looks like that I had to uninstall the agent locally in each computer, and install again from SOM. -brauner

Hi, I test DC6 in workgroup environment (several win xp pro). DC6 is installed on one of the win xp pro computers. I scanned computers and successfully installed agents. I created some user/computer configuration and also one patch deploy. All configuration are in "Ready To Execute" state, after many log-off / login and restarts. Does patch deploy and configurations works in workgroup environment? -brauner

confusing information at "Patch Summary - All Patches&
Hi, When I look at "Patch Summary - All Patches" list, I see many critical patch's that are so called missing, but it seems to be old patch files that were replaced by new one. see for example the attach picture, see lines: MS03-011, MS06-051, MS06-046. The list is confusing, I don't think I need to see old patch that are not relevant any more. -brauner

I have finally gotten my SOM configured - had to clean up AD. 90 machines have the agent installed, but only 28 show up under Inventory/Computers. Why? Also, trying to scan systems, and 63 of 90 fail. Help please!

I was wondering something. This product is by far the best product for managing a windows domain. Anyways, When I run a patch scan and it is telling me that patches are missing, how come my WSUS 3.0 server reads 100% for all my systems but DC5 tells me I am still vulnerable? Daniel Saucier

System Tools don't work
We are using Desktop Central and are finally getting around to set up some maintenance. We can not get any of the System Tools to work. I have only been trying for the last 4 hours, and have been having the software run the programs (Defrag, Check Disk, and Cleanup) at a scheduled time a few minutes after I finish setting up the scheduled task, or I have been running them on startup, or login. None of them seem to work. I have left the clients idle for a few hours to make sure they had time to run.

Inventory Fails to scan
I have an XP desktop running in a domained environment with DC 5 loaded on it. I puched the agent to nine other computers on the domain. I then went to inventory to scan the machines. They all fail except for my machine. Five of the machines did not get the agent so I understand why they don't inventory but WHY don't the other 4 inventory? I can remote connect to them with the remote option. They are Windows 2000 or XP machines. John MCCLun

Sort Execution Status
We would like the capability to sort the Execution Status Reports of applications that we push. In other words, we would like to sort the results by clicking on each of the column headers. Also, if we modify a configuration that has been deployed, we lose the history of successful and failed installs. How can we be able to view all previous results from a configuration? macintel
