We recently changed out Active Directory admin account password. I am now receiving a warning in Desktop Central that Password Changed The password of the following domains have changed. forced reboot being skipped on deployments
I've created a configuration for deployment using a policy that has a reboot policy to force reboot (both including and excluding servers) and even though I get successful deployments the computers aren't being forced to reboot. I've checked the dcconfigaccess.log and I see that the ENDTIME REBOOT_POLICY for the configuration shows DC_FORCE_REBOOT(skppd). I'm assuming this means the reboot was skipped. How can it be skipped if the reboot is forced ? Am I missing something here ?
Record session time-outs in the Action Log Viewer
Currently when a User logs out of Desktop Central using the Sign Out button, this is recorded in the Action Log Viewer as "User Disconnected". It would be useful for a log entry to be added here when a User session times out due to inactivity. Perhaps a different message so it's obvious this was a time-out and not a decisive log-out.
Why cant I use batch scripts?
Hello, I'm having trouble with custom scripts. I'm trying to use a custom script in the Post-Deployment activities. And I keep getting the same error message: "Invalid command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help." At first I started with the correct script I wanted to deploy and got that error message. And then I tried it with the most basic script I could make, which is just a batch Hello World: @echo "Hello World" And I still keep getting the same error.

Forwarding Server for All WAN Agents or Just Mobile Devices?
I like the idea of the forwarding server a lot, but does it support all WAN agents or just "mobile," e.g. iPhones/iPads or Android phones/tablets? Pushing out just the latest patch for a product?
We're just testing out Desktop Central. We're having an issue pushing the agent out via the interface (Unable to get the Agent Status. Operation timed out - logged a call with support a few days ago and still nothing back) But my main query at the moment is this - can you just push out the latest update for a product? For example I've added the agent to my PC manually and have patched it remotely, but Adobe Standard has several updates to be applied, but they only get pulled down one at a time and

I have an image with DC9 installed. I am barely learning about this program and its scope. When ever I try to pull a report on all the machines and run a System Scan. A few machines do not populate. I have all except 10. Any thoughts?
Desktop Central MSP - Need to change a distribution server
We have an existing distribution server for an organization, whose machines are all part of Desktop Central MSP. However, we are getting rid of the local distribution server (not the MSP server) and replacing it with a new local distribution server. The question is, will we need to uninstall all the existing agents in DC MSP and re-install them with the new distribution server? Or do we need to point the agents to the new server only? Or is there nothing we need to do? I appreciate the help.

Hello, I'm investigating a way to reduce the Scheduled DB Backup size and discovered that most of the DB backup size is from "conf\CRSData\dc-crs\definitiondata\1.1\" (520MB over 550MB). In there there is datas from 6-8 months ago. I'm not sure what it is (looks like patchs DB and so on). Is it possible to clean this folder? Do you have tips of things we can clean to reduce backup size? Thanks Sylvain
Deleting a folder on multiple computers
I need to delete a zipped folder on multiple computers. I understand that I go and create a new configuration, then choose "Delete Folder" but I can't figure out what to put in the source folder screen. Patching Linux boxes
While testing the patching function of the Linux boxes we found that DC was able to install patches for a Ubuntu box but for Red Hat there is no option to scan or update those boxes. Is there a way to patch Red Hat boxes using DC?
Difference between DesktopCentral and DesktopCentral MSP
It seems to me that they both are the same with an On-Premise deployment being necessary. I thought that 'MSP' indicated a 'cloud hosted' version of DesktopCentral. Can someone please shed some light on the differences?
Windows 10 Build specific Dynamic Group
I am trying to setup a Dynamic Group for computers that are Windows 10 with a specific Build/OS Version. I can get the filters to work right showing all Windows to PCs but when I try to add the OS Version that I want displayed in the group it doesn't find any computers. Thanks Steve
Best way to test DC-ME build upgrade
Hello, We're currently planning to upgrade our DC-ME environment from build 90023 to the most current production build. However, my manager has some concerns about what the user impact will be, and wants us to test the upgrade scenario before rolling it out to our user base. That being said, I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on how to test this out? My initial plan was to clone the VM that DC-ME is running off of, spin up a few Windows 7 VMs and install the build 90023 user agent locally.

What I'd like to see is the following: During the week I schedule windows updates for all my machines to take place on the weekend/specific date/time. Self Service Portal - Registry Key not Importing
Hi all, I have a deployment package that works just fine when pushed out from DC's webpage (using Run As). One of the post activities is to import a registry file using a unc path. This work. However, when a user run the install from self service portal, it doesn't work. Software does get installed however. The user running the install has full admin rights to their machine, and as well, can browse the UNC path without issue. Any suggestions?
