I am having two issues with Desktop Central Automated Patch Scan. 1) I can not seem to create an automated windows patch scan from any other machine except the server where DC sits. Anytime I try to add computers to the list of targets, I get a message that Desktop Central is not reachable. This happens across any machine that is not the server. 2) Automated scan runs, but it stated no computers were scanned when I receive the confirmation email. I set up for an ou to be scanned. Desktop Central not detecting MSRT on XP
Hello, Having just completed a Patch Scan with the most recent Patch database on one of my XP systems, I discovered something interesting... The XP system is telling me that an update to the MSRT tool (KB 890830) is available. Unfortunately, Desktop Central is telling me that no patches are available for this system. Shouldn't Desktop Central still detect this available update? Anthony
Detailed explanation of Execution status for Patch Deployments
I understand most of the possible status labels, but I'm unclear about a couple of things. Yet to Apply- Sometimes a patch (or patches) are show this status but there is no obvious reason why the patch is not installing. the computer is found on the network and has responded to a Patch Scan from Desktop Central. Success - This seems obvious, but maybe it's not. Does Success mean that the patch has been both downloaded to the target AND installed? And if it was installed AND required a reboot,
Remote Shutdown - Skip Button
I have a remote shutdown scheduled each day at 5 PM. Most people are gone by then, but occasionally a few people work late. I have a 1 minute delay set up so they have time to save their work after they are advised of the shutdown. Could you incorporate a "skip" button into the message so they can skip the shutdown manually? I use the "shutdown -a" command when I need to skip the shutdown on my computer, but a button would be easier for the typical user.
Agent remote installation from Desktop Central 9 (Free) in Workgroup all failing

Desktop Central encountered a problem while performing Restore.
I am trying to move my desktop central DB using the instructions in the following article: http://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/moving-mssql-database-to-different-location-how-to.html When I get to step 2 of the restore, I keep getting the error 'Internal Application Error. Desktop Central encountered a problem while performing Restore'. I contacted support on March 3rd and still have not received any assistance. ManageEngine support is very poor. Does anyone have any ideas?

Deployment message
When I push a Windows package I can set my deployment policy to Notify users about deployment or not and I can customize the message if I choose to notify. When I create a configuration and set the Package settings / install options to Run as a user, the package is deployed with the deployment policy along with or without Notifying the users about deployment, but then a second notification window is displayed with generic message about New Software is Available, "Desktop Central has been configured
Configurations
Do configurations have a time out period? After so long do they stop working? I don't think this should be the case but I had some machines that were in a configuration for about a month and didn't update. When I setup a configuration and pushed the software to the machine again it worked within minutes.
Desktop Central agents are missing in Most of the client systems after updating the Server.

Hello, Under Software Deployment -> Patch Scan, clicking on each machine provides three tabs: Applications, Missing Patches, and Installed Patches. For some reason, the TeamViewer application is not listed under the Applications tab. Hello, Why is Desktop Central detecting the PatchID 100682 (Bulletin MSWU-1154) as needed on my systems? Running Windows Update on these systems does not detect this patch as needed - neither as "Critical" nor as "Recommended" Attempting to deploy the patch to systems results in the status "Unknown Error. Lost remote control function after update
Hi, I updated to the latest build last night and have lost a bit of functionality. If you are looking at a list of computers or searching for one by name you normally can click the little icon with the computer on where you get your list of actions like "patch scan, "inventory scan" "chat" etc.. Well now when you click on the remote control button this does nothing. It just does nothing! If you click tools, remote control and then press connect this works as expected and launches the remote connect.
Understand which user approved a patch
Hi, the customer configured DC to apply only manually approved patch. The problem is that two Java patch became approved and caused some issue. The customer would like to know which user approved those two patches. Is it possible? Regards

Is there any way to configure user settings to be applied by the computer name ? Java Updates Not Downloading Again....

Any planned updates for Security Configurations?
In looking through the list of available options in the Security Configurations, it seems the list is is fairly limited compared to the full options that are available through Group Policy. Are there any plans to update this feature with more options, especially related to some of the new features in Windows 8/8.1? Currently I don't see anything related to locking down the Start Screen or Metro application access. Thanks.

USB Warning
Dear support, I have seen a lot options with USB devices. For example you can block some USB devices and while plugging in you get a warning message that de devices is blocked and cannot be used. Is there an option to get the personal warning message but still use the device?I only want to warn the user. not block the device. It’s only for external HDD and USB flash drives. Mobile Device Management rights for non Admin users
Greetings, I'd like my techs to have the ability to add and remove mobile devices within the different groups we have setup. I'd also like them to have the ability to scan mobile devices and perform wipes; however, I don't want them to have admin rights to the entire DTC. Other roles take away their ability to do other functions concerning computer management within the solution. Am I overlooking something here, can this be done? Thanks, Dave

Scheduled report - Computers without a specific piece of software
Is there a way to schedule this report to run? I've tried creating a scheduled report using the following options: Select Reports: Inventory reports > Computers with/without a specific software > clicked the + sign and configured with the following fields: Software Name > not equal > Sophos Anti Virus It seems to me the problem is when you run the report manually, you select 'Does not equal' but this option is missing from scheduled report area as you can only select 'not equal' and this generates
