Patch Scanning Question
Hey guys, So we have several laptop users who don't regularly turn the laptop on, but do at least once or twice a week. I've noticed that I don't have their patch details, because when we normally run a scan, they're frequently not on or online. So my question is this. 1) is there any way to set agents to automatically upload patch details on contact? 2) if not, what is the best practice for obtaining patch details on remote machines used infrequently, lots of scheduled tasks to scan at odd hours?
WAN Agents Adding an IP Scope - periodic check interval

Is there anyway I can have the DC server update its patch database immediately (now) instead of scheduling a date/time?

hello, I got this error when downloading a patch Patch : 101894 successfully downloaded but check sum validation failed.Ensure that Proxy/Firewall configuration does not restrict downloads from the domain http://download.microsoft.com. this is the only patch that failed to download and I can get to the site with with out error
Issue with SelfServicePortal
Sometimes, SelfServicePortal doesn't open and I receive an error message, this happen specially on XP any suggest? Thanks Stefano

We never installed this software before. But some how today we see that not only was it updating on pc's but that it somehow got installed on multiple computer in our network. Is there a reason why this would happen?

Custom Script in Version 91122
Hi, after updating to the newest version (91122) it is not possible to select a computer or computer group for a custom script. The choice of type for the target is greyed out and limited to Remote Office or Domain (see screenshot). I am using firefox (newest version) with windows 10. Any ideas? Thanks, Juergen
Windows Patch Updates using all available disk space
I have been applying Windows Updates to my fleet of Win7 computers for about 6 months now. The computers all have 128GB hard drives and are now becoming full of old updates that are never cleared out. What is the best way to use Desktop Central to recover disk space again? Cheers, Steve.

Migrating to SQL Server error on login
I want to migrate the PostgreSQL database to SQL Server 2008 R2 on another machine. I cannot use the sa account to do so. I need to use a Windows account, and I want to use an account dedicated to Desktop Central. I need to know the minimum rights the account needs to accomplish the database migration. Patch Automation Issues
So we've been using desktop central for patch deployment for a couple months now, and everything works manually. We tried setting up some automated tasks to scan, download, and deploy last weekend, and unfortunately had very little success. I have a few questions if anyone can answer. Software License Question
Good day, I setup Manage License to track how many Microsoft Office 2013 Pro Plus installation we had (these were incorrectly installed by a contractor) so we could begin the process of uninstalling them and install O365 Pro Plus. This worked well and picked up all the computers with the incorrect version installed. It showed me that there were 113 under licensed computers out there. However, when I do a reconcile I find that there are several computers showing as installed, but they no longer are
KB2644615 wsus vs DC
I see a lot of patches that WSUS says are not applicable, but Desktop Central shows them as needed. For instance KB2644615 When I look on WSUS it shows it set to approved / install, but lists it as Not Applicable. (this is for Server 2008 R2 w/SP1) Desktop Central shows it as missing. When I look at MS12-001 https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/ms12-001 it looks to me like it applies to the OS, but since I don't have MS Visual C++ .Net 2003 installed on the server I shouldn't need it. Restore top tabs
I am demoing ServiceDeskPlus and successfully integrated it to DesktopCentral. However, it took away the top tabs in DC. I removed the integration but the tabs have not been restored. How do I bring them back?
Change URL name
By default the url name after the installation is http://localhost:8020 . i want to change the url name to desktopcentral. Where can i change this. In DSP you can easy change this in the general settings.
Need Some Help Deploying a Specific Update
Hello all! I am having a bit of an issue and I am at my wits end with it. I am not sure if my problem is being caused by ManageEngine or if it is being caused by the program that I am trying to update. Anyway, here is the issue. New define target
I noticed that in build 91120 you have changed how the define target works. While I like that it does not default to the first remote office now, it would be helpful if under apply to specific target that it would default to computer and not custom group. Or have the option to set what default I need.

Question on how patches are rolled out
I noticed that a single Windows update will list a system multiple times. For instance, MS15-116 will be listed for a system for Access, Publisher, and Word. Each instance has a different patch ID number. So, I have two questions; Does the client get queried multiple times for the same Bulletin? Does the get the same Bulletin pushed to it multiple times? We are having issues with the updates taking too long and this could be part of the problem. Thanks, Beck

How to tell Setup to prompt for a reboot?
Hello, I was wondering how I can prompt for a reboot via Desktop Central after Software Deployment or any other steps? Server wont start after upgrade to 91112
I performed an update to 91112 and then it was for every 'Starting' a few reboot didn't resolve. uninstalled, reinstalled old version 90170 and restored backup. now doesn't start as 'Previous Patch not applied properly' shouldn't the Backup not had this flag set before it performed a Backup? Here's what I'm looking to do. 1. PC Techs will have ability to remote control any machine without confirmation as they always have. 2. UserA will only have the ability to remote any machine WITH confirmation. How to handle masses of patches?

Scheduled Reporting

Adobe acrobat X and XI updates missing Affected Products information

Time incorrect
Hi The time on our DC9 server is exactly 12 hours behind. Pre-Deployment Custom Script Question
I have a configuration setup to run a script (.vbs file) and then install an application if the script is successful and the exit code is 0. However, if the script fails and the exit code is not 0 the deployment assumes that it failed when really I want it to consider that the installation is not necessary and to skip deployment and report it as such. Is there any way to do this currently? If not, I would like to suggest that there be an option to change "Proceed if exit code is ___" to "Skip installation
Scheduled Inventory scan not working on 90199
Ever since upgrading to 91099, my scheduled Inventory asset scan has not worked (over the last week or more..) I have 4 different domain groups and the results for all 4 are 'Not Scanned'. I can run a manual scan that works. When I first go to the Inventory tab, there is a banner up top saying the "Inventory Summary Reports are not up-to-date". When I generate the new report, the last scan dates are still from when I've done the last manual scan. Has anyone else seen this? Any fix? Thx.
Office 2007 Security update MS15-099
I'm relatively new to Desktop Central, but I found that this security update for Office 2007 seems to be missing from the database, either that or I'm looking in the wrong place, One way or another when I run Windows update on my Windows 7 machine it is reported as being needed, but DT Central sees my machine as up-to-date.
