Automate Patch Deployment keep logs
Hi, I would like to know whether it's possible with Automate Patch Deployment to create configurations for each deployment or logs, so that I can check the status of the deployment at all times for the computers, as if I created these configurations manually. The PDF files in one mail are not enough I'm afraid.
Problem with Desktop Central Patches and ESE Endpoint AV missing updates
Hi, We're encountering with a problem with patches. Our corp antivirus is NOD32 and have one functionality that shows us missing updates on OS. For a few weeks Desktop Central shows all clients are updated but our AV tells us that no, that are missing updates on our Systems. I've looked at db patch to see if it was updated and finally i've looked for the KB missing on my Desktop Central DB. And the fact is that those KB are not on Desktop Central Database so I suspect that are still not implemented
Tools/Remote Control shows "No Domains Available" and shows no computers
Hello, When I go to "Tools/Remote Control" within DC it populates no Domains or computers. No search criteria (adding a specific IP address or computer name) to search for yields anything. This also happens when I go to "Inventory"... No data is present at all. The agent says it is installed correctly. Clicking Scan Systems/Patch Scan shows all systems and all available domains. This just started happening maybe 2-3 weeks ago. Thank you for any suggestions
Removing computers from Scheduled Wake On Lan
I added a custom group to a Scheduled Wake On Lan. There are two computers that I just need to remove from the Wake on Lan task but everytime I remove them and save the task they keep coming back.
Re-adding machines from AD
I have noticed (and been informed by ManageEngine) that if you go to SoM and delete a machine, or if you have the settings set up to delete inactive machines after x days, you cannot re-add from AD, you have to do it manually. Is there a way to disable this, or do a 1-time sync to import? We often have temp users who use a machine for a few weeks, they then leave, the machine is collected and placed back in to storage until we get the next temp / contract worker, and it could be weeks before the

Auto Notify Users to Reboot Post Patches
Since we are a 24/7 shop with Police and Fire Departments, I would like to use the Patch Management to download and apply patches, but not reboot. I would like to configure the patch management to notify the users if a reboot is required post install of patches. Is there a way to auto send notification to users to reboot their PC as part of the patch management process?
How to edit information within WMI for user workstations.
Hello all, After some CSV import frustrations and a few tickets later I have learned that "Asset tags" can only be imported/updated through Windows WMI. I was wondering how I would go about editing/adding this information for client machines. Thank you for any assistance you provide.

We can see currently logged in user easily but is there a way to show last logged in user?

I read a few posts that Linux was on the roadmap for quite some time now. Does the current Linux agent support patch management? We don't have an immediate need and it's not easy enough for me to test it just yet. Last time I tested I believe it only did inventory. Thanks.
Has anyone else seen horribly slow software deployments on DC Build 92038?
We previously pushed 100s of MB of software in 20 minutes or so on our ISP grade internet and Gb inside networks. On hotfix build 92038, software copies at around 1KB per second which is atrocious and renders the most important feature to us unusable. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not hard to monitor in the C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_Agent\swrepository\1\swuploads folder. I can't locate any bottlenecks outside of the code, which obviously I have no visibility into. Previously,

Hello, I began to activate "Alert" Configurations for several user groups, i.e.: Warn User 5 days before password expires. / Purge TEMP files. Is there a possibility to modify the text message in the Alert-Popup? For example users have reported, that these messages are confusing and they where not sure, where this came from; one had suspected a malware/virus, because of the plain look of the message box. Schedule patch scans
I have several custom groups and would like to schedule each group to do an inventory scan at a different time throughout the day but I can't find a way to do this. We don't want all of our computers to scan at the same time. Is it possible to do this? Thanks, Amanda

Error in PowerShell Deployment Script
Hi In Software Deployment \ Templates there is a deployment for Microsoft PowerShell for Windows 7 SP1 (x86). The VB script to deploy has a couple of typo's that cause the target to reboot immediately after installation. There are two lines that have "/NORESTAR" . The letter T needs adding to the end for it to work as expected. As a side question, is it possible to detect what PS version is installed? Computer\Software Inventory doesn't list it. Thanks Mark

Hi, is it possible to have shortcuts for the following 3 functions: Desktop Central Agent Send Request to Helpdesk Self Service Portal Found this within the Self Service Portal settings on Desktop Central. There have been times where the agent on machines have disappeared or not loaded, and users are having to log out and back in again to restart Desktop Central. The Send Request to Helpdesk and Self Service Portal links on the desktop would also be handy for users to have.
Can't start Desktop Central
Can anyone help me start Desktop Central? I'm getting an Error ID 7024 in event viewer. A window also appears saying "If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 1." I'm trying to run this with a Domain Admin user, so rights shouldn't be an issue. Thanks!

A Thread with the same topic was of 10 Mar 2016 Since there was no reply to the public, that shows a progress with this topic, I will illustrate my experience here: We have the same issue as the author of the other thread. When we update the DC Vulnerability DB, scan the systems, patch the systems, if necessary boot the systems, and scan them again, DC (sometimes) shows this systems as "Healthy" and does not find any missing patch at that time. When we started with DC we crosschecked this with WindowsUpate
Firefox ESR 38
We want to stay on Firefox ESR 38 because of some software that we are using. Now that ESR 45 has been released the systems with ESR 38 show they are missing ESR 45 instead of showing they are missing the most recent ESR 38 update. We changed ESR 45 to Not Approved and now the systems with ESR 38 show they are not missing any patches even though there is an update for ESR 38. Is there a way to get them to show that they are missing an update even though it's listed as superseded? I don't think
Inventory schedule scan not working after 92041
I noticed since updating to 92041 that my schedule inventory scans is not working. Also the inventory page recently installed software is not updating. I checked some pc's and the inventory scans is working but not scanning them during the scheduled scan time and not updating the summary on the inventory page. My scheduled scan is set for daily at 9pm. The recently installed software showing installed software from the 4-25 which is the day before I updated to the newest build.
Remote Control launches window option menu on connect
Whenever I connect to a client, the top window's menu launches like this: It would also be nice to have an option to launch in view only mode with the ability to take control. The current 'view only' option is a global option and does not allow taking control after the session has started.

Hi, I wanted to try Dekstop Central because it seems to be a good alternative to other tools as SCCM. But before I try it, I need some information : - Does this solution can handle approximately 30 000 clients? - If yes, how much will it approximately cost? (as an example, if a client licence cost 50$, the price would be around 1 500 000$.. Such a price..) English isn't my native language, so sorry for the various faults and thanks for your advices.

Desktop Central Remote Office Syncronization kills WAN
I see in scope of management I can reduce the default synchronization speed for each individual remote site. That's nice. but why does it try to sync all at the same time to all the remote sites. it kills my WAN, there has got to be a way to fix this m isn't there ?

Hi, we are evaluating Kaspersky Business Select. After AV-Client installation users report using outlook and especially public folders is very very slow. Office 2013 Repair Script Needed
Hi, we have installed Office 2013 on around 250 machines, however it has left Office 2010 installed. I have run the script to uninstall Office 2010 but when trying to run Word 2013 I get: "We're sorry, but Word has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Would you like to us to repair now?" When clicking repair it will fix the problem, but I cannot find a script which I can push out via DC to repair after the uninstall of 2010. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
