Email alert only for software installations caused by the user
Hello Team. From Desktop Central, is there the possibility to configure email alerts only for software installations caused by the user? And not for automatic installations caused by the operating system. We want to be notified when a user installs any application. But we do not want to receive alerts of instalacoines caused by automatic updates (Too many emails). Is it possible to perform this filter in Desktop Central? Regards, Rafael Vega.

Hi, Since deploying the agent to user computers - each time they login they are getting a pop-up on the bottom right hand corner telling them when they last logged in. Is there an option to turn this off somewhere within the Desktop Central application?

How to manage Linux screen lock after inactivity with ManageEngine Desktop Central

Downloading attachments for technicians does not work using the "File Upload" Custom Fields
Hello Team. In the Desktop Central console v10.0.239 we created a custom field called "File Invoice" of type File Upload. Both Administrators and Desktop Central Technicians can attach files to this custom field successfully. But the download of the attachments only works from the Administrators profile. It does not work for other technical profiles. When we try to download the attached file using a Technician profile, it does not work. The Web page appears in blank. Last month I created a test group in which to test patches on. The test and approve was created so after 5 days, the patches were automatically approved. Preserve inventory info but remove PC from patch management
Is there a way to remove a PC from patch management but still retain the inventory information ? Hi, I have a doubt. I have the central desktop DS installed on a remote site, however I tried to apply the USB block and does not work, nothing happens, always ready to execute. I'm trying to create an automated security update (istall patch) and force the reboot the computer after the updates have been completed, but there is only the option to force reboot after first log in by the user. Is there a way to automate and force the reboot upon the completion? How long is User History Saved For?
In desktop central, I can see login data for computers by the users name. Question is how long/how far back does the data go? I want to make sure I save at least 365 days worth of user detail, specially when a user logs in/logs out for a desktop for auditing purposes.

Limit Bandwidth for patch distribution
Hi all, We have about 1000 machines being managed by Desktop Central over multiple distributed offices. I am only running one Desktop Central server to push out all of these patches. When i do a mass update, our WAN links out of our main office is flooded with Desktop Central traffic.
