Harddisk Encryption
Hey, Our company wants to roll out an minimal level of security for desktops, laptops and other devices. One part is the default setting to encrypt harddisks. Can i verify within Desktopcentral that the machines have encryption enabled? Right now i can not find it. Hope to hear from somebody.
Apple Configurator 2 & Anchor Certificates
When configuring the apple configurator with the MDM Server, I have typed in the Name and URL, but it says that it can't find server. I seem to get "further" if I just type in the IP address and let it search for the server URL. To be clear, I type in name of "MDM-Test" and hostname or URL of my ip address of server. Modify Scheduled Patch Deployment Notifications
We have numerous scheduled patch deployment jobs that are executed nightly with notifications generated for each task. The tasks are configured to address specific groups of machines. We would like to be able to modify the subject line of the notification email that's generated when the task completes so our technicians have an idea of which group of servers the notification addresses. Is the possible or planned? Thanks
Functionality of Custom Group
Hi there I got some need where I could use Custom Group, but.. Can't understand functionality of Custom Group. For example - Create Group with machines where Skype 6.x Installed (Software Name = "Skype 6") but I can't see this group when try to create deployment Our build 92082, previously we used Custom group to export lists and copy/paste them to targets but now it's impossible to paste many machines. Any other options to find machines with specific software and use it for Configuration? BR Dmitry

Handing of Missed Deployment while using APD
recently we started testing Desktop Central to replace our patch deployment solution (WSUS junk) and after setting up 2 groups (Monday and Friday) for nightly updates I've seen that 2 people whose PC's were out of the building (laptops) both have missed deployment schedule. Currently we are testing with Monday 00-06am and Friday 00-06am deployment policy. We have daily scan/download policy to make sure all patches are available and deployed. What is the recommended handling or configuring deployment
Chat window time-out
Is there a way to edit the amount of time in a chat window before it times out? We the technicians would like to chat to each other throughout the day without having the chat window timing out. Thanks, Josh

OS X Agent Issues
Hi All Having issues with getting OS X Clients to show up within SoM if they have already previously been removed from Desktop Central I've enabled Remote Login on all my clients, have enabled the root user, and updated the records within Desktop Central accordingly. Configuration Status Updates Not working - Build 92095
I'm having an issue with configuration status updates not changing. Everything seems to be working with the exception of the config update status. All clients show the same behavior. Select deploy all missing patches (scheduled or immediate) Client receives the task, install the patches, reboots if specified Configuration always shows ready to apply Software deployment configuration status updates correctly. Self service portal application "run as"
We are running into an issue publishing eQUEST application via the self service portal, the application installs itself but it does not get initialized properly. The software support tech said the package needs to have the user logged in and to use the "run as administrator" option to install properly. Is this possible when launching an install from the self service portal?

Security Update for .NET Framework not showed
We 'have 6 MS windows 2012 servers with any version of .net framework. Till last July we found any security update for any .net version listed into missing patches. Now even if Microsoft released new security update (MS16-091) on all server not .net fix is listed, while MS MBSA and Windows Update show it as required. I tried to force DB refresh, inventory and scan all systems but nothing changed. Do any one have same issue ?
The version of Chrome reported by the software scans does not match the version installed
We have a few computers where the version of Chrome browser being reported does not match the actual version installed. However if we see what patches have been installed, the report shows that Chrome has been patched to the actual version installed. Is this a normal behavior? Thanks.

Patch Deployment of All Highly Vulnerable Systems?
It use to be if you created a patch deployment of systems that didn't have identical patch needs you would receive a warning message stating you are about to push patches to a system that may not need it. Such as mixing 32 bit systems with 64 bit systems. I notice ManageEngine no longer gives this warning message does this mean it's been fixed so all highly vulnerable systems can be deployed at once?

Extremely low bandwidth situations - where people are using dial up, etc, the patch/software download saturates the connection 2. After migrating to MS SQL
Hi, I've recently migrated the patch management database to our MS SQL server. I see that postgresql is still running in the task manager and ME is the only software that uses it on our server. Is it possible to deactivate it completely and remove the according data from the server safely?
Exchange Anti-Spam Updates / Windows Defender updates
I never see these become available for approval or deployment. Does ManageEngine not support the Exchange Anti-Spam Updates or Defender updates? We do run a very nice behavioral based AV but like to run Defender as a backup. As far as the Anti-Spam updates, I don't see how that is not happening. We also run an anti-spam firewall between our Exchange and the WAN boarder but it doesn't always catch everything and it's nice to have those Anti-Spam Updates. Thanks,

If I create a configuration for all users to place an entry in the registry and that entry is deleted by the user. I'm wondering if there is an API that would be accessible through PowerShell to be able to run custom reports? I need to pull a Missing Patch report for multiple clients a week before their scheduled patch deployment, and using Powershell would make this very easy for me instead of having to filter out everything manually (very tedious). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Remote Server download all languages patches
Hi there I can see that all our Remote DC servers downloading all language patches even not needed for current region For example London DC has only English language machines but I can see packages for Russian, Chinese, Romanian In case of Windows 10 patches too big, it's extremely loading WAN. Java 32 bit and 64 bit versions are not being patched automatically
hi guys i have a dilema where i have machines with both versions of Java. 64bit is showing up as needing a patch and gets patched however 32bit is not showing as needing a patch even tho there is a new version available just as the 64bit version. I am told that Desktop Central if it sees both versions it can only patch the 64bit version. Has any of you seen this, any reason why it cannot patch both? Obviously we can do a manual deployment but it would be easier if it was to see the required patch

Filtering Custom Groups fails to provide results in Patch Manager windows
Is anyone else having issues filtering custom groups in Desktop Central. This is frustrating when I am trying to schedule patching of a group and I can't filter the custom group I need to patch. When I try to filter the group all I get is a whiteout of the computer list and my custom group never comes up. I am getting this behavior in both Firefox and Chrome browsers. Please let me know if this is an issue that is fixed in the latest hot fix. Constance
