Send mass command prompt commands?
I have a command that i'd like to send out to multiple computers. They are all windows machines and they are all command prompt commands. Is this possible, or do I have to go through each computer individually using the System Manager command prompt tool? Thanks! -Joe
Deploying Office 2016
I am having a hard time deploying our copy of Office 2016. I am working with the standard version, not Pro Plus, or O365. I am using a .exe file and a .xml file. The goal is to perform an unattended, silent installation with the product key included. So far some of my deployments has shown successful but when I check the target computer I see the software has not been installed. Most often my deployments are stuck "In Progress" and eventually I get a message that some of my silent switches
Office 2019 (Windows) update issue
Hi, My Windows systems have Office 2019 build 16.0.10348.20020 installed. Desktop Central shows patch "27257 Office2019_installer_16.0.10349.20017_x64.exe MS19-O2019" as being applicable to these machines. I have tested deploying it -- office 2019 is updated to 16.0.10349.20017 however the built in update checker (Account > Check for updates) stops working ; checks for updates fail with the error "30182-27 (3)". Systems that have not been updated by desktop central are able to update via this method

Modify existing scheduled report - PC

Remote Control on MacOS
I am unable to get Remote Control to work on a Mac client. The action log in DC shows "Remote Control failed to connect with MACOS- TEST.<b>Reason:</ b> Communication failed between Agent and Server". Windows machines on the same network are able to have Remote Control sessions connect successfully. The mac is fully patched, and has Agent 10.14.16. I also tried it on a second mac on the same subnet and received the same results. I'm not seeing anything amiss on the Mac's logs that point to an issue.
User did factory reset
When an employee quit they factory reset the device before handing it back in. Somehow this completely severed the link with Manage Engine. We cannot communicate with the device anymore. The device has been logged into and it doesn't have the MDM installed on it. Apps not automatically installing
Hello, I am using Mobile Device Manager for Manage Engine Desktop Central. When I go to deploy an app or update, I have the option to send the install to the ME app catalog on their devices, or do a silent install. With a silent install, I am under the impression that it is supposed to install without any user intervention on the device. Instead, it sends a pop-up message to the device asking if it wants to proceed with the install. Should this be happening? Thanks, Joe Satow

Hi, If I click on the inventory in DC and then click inventory reports, and then recently installed software the report loads fine. However if I scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the right arrow to go to the next page, all it does is load a blank page and nothing else. Hello, We are trying to integrate Apple Business Manager with MEDC Mobile Device Manager. We have successfully synced them together with the server tokens. We are unable to add a device to Apple's portal, but we can successfully add a device to the MDM portal. The problem is that we want to manage application deployment through Apple's ABM portal. Patch reboot require value incorrect
Hi, Some patches I've seen (e.g. 2019-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4505658) ) have the "Reboot required" value as "No" -- but this is incorrect, and after it's deployed it has a status of 'The requested operation is complete. Changes will not be applied until after the system is rebooted'. Is it possible for me to manually change the reboot required value for these patches, so that the reboot request prompt is shown to the user? Thanks!

Dear all, I am using several Powershell-Scripts as Pre-Installation Activities for a software deployment. I've followed the recommendations from https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/returning-error-code-on-scripts-how-to.html. The scripts run fine and results in an error code 1 if failed. DesktopCentral translates this error code in a windows sytem error code and return a "Incorrect function", instead of error code 1. Hi! I have two software deployment tasks set up: the first installs version 8 of $SOFTWARE, and then the second installs the 8.2 update for it. At the moment I'm deploying this software using the first task, and then following it up with a deployment of the update task. What I'd like to know is if it's possible to include the installation of the update file into the initial deployment configuration? I've looked at the post-install tasks options but can't see one that looks relevant. Many thanks!

Installing a previous Windows server 2016 cumulative security patches
Hi, Is there any way to install the June 2019 windows server cumulative security patch once the July 2019 cumulative patch is released? We cannot possibly patch all our servers in a single months time frame and would like to keep them all running the same cumulative patch. I was told by ManageEngine that if you used a previous DTC config file that contained the June 2016 cumulative patch, it would install it even if the July cumulative patch had been released. This is not the case.

I have created several configuration tasks to install applications based on OU. What I noticed is that when a PC is added to the OU, the PC is not listed in the "Execution Status" list unless you modify the configuration and then deploy it again. I am only pushing to one PC at a time and all the packages are set to install at start-up then retry 3 times during refresh. Rebooting the PC does not make it show up in the "Execution Status" list. OS Deployment: Computer Name not applying correctly
I have updated our images to Win10 1903. After deploying the images, the deployment template is failing to generate a new SID as well as failing to name the computer correctly by the serial number. This could also be a bug with the 10.0.411 version. This is the first image deployemnt we have attempted after updating Desktop Central to the latest version.

Good Morning, I am unable to successfully sync users in my on-prem AD Domain. Computer details sync correctly, and the user names will sync but no user attributes.
