Suppress USB Disabled Messages
Hi there, I've recently enabled securing of USB for my company's domain. There were options to disable CD/DVD as well and I have checked those too. All the functions work fine and well however my desktop users are prompted with the storage device block message prompt each time they login since obviously DC would detect the CD/DVD ROM as it's forever connected. Is there anyway to suppress these messages? Regards, Ernest

C&C security threat found on Trend DDI from Desktop Central
Hello, I have a question for the community regarding Desktop Central and Trend Micro's DDI box. Since the 5/9/19 we keep seeing C&C activity on our Trends DDI box linking back to Desktop Central running the C&C activity, its not occurring on all computers in the environment and is only happening 2-6 times a day on different devices every time. We were effected by the high CPU usage issues in the last patch but have installed the hotfix and soon to install the latest patch, would any of this cause
Is there a way to manually remove superseded patches from showing in Desktop Central
I've been told that the computers for these patches that have been superseded need to be removed from desktop central. That cannot be the case. Some of the machines are remote users who don't always connect to the companies VPN, thus they aren't reporting all the time. I did however check my missing patches. Hello all, One of my Ubuntu 18 clients does not scan correctly: "agent version incompatible". I have downloaded the last version and launched the install (as root) which finds the previous versions but fails to uninstall it and setup the new version. Any way to force the upgrade from Desktop Central Server?

Installed Patches - discrepancy
I have a Windows Server 2016 Datacenter VM that has the Desktop Central Agent installed and the scanning status is showing OK, but for some reason the count (results) showing on Installed Patches differs (show less) from the ones I see on the Installed Updates (Control Panel) inside the machine. How or where does the agent looks for the updates installed and why I'm seeing less updates installed than the currently installed. *Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the agent *Also tried the PowerShell

What does Error code 10008 mean ?
The patch database in DesktopCentral has suddenly stopped updating this week and we don't know why. We suspect it may be something to do with our proxy server. I noticed in the serverout log it has error messages referencing error code : 10008. If we could identify what this error code means then it might give us a clue as to where the fault lies.

Cannot migrate default database to MSSQL in AWS RDS
I am following the instructions listed for migrating the database, but I keep getting an error message: "Socket Time Out while trying to fetch database instances from host". I have tested by using a security group that allows all traffic to the database instance, and it still fails with the same error. Has anyone been successful in doing this so far? Thanks Gary

Successfully scanned systems still showing as "health not available" in the Dashboard
Let me preface this by saying I'm new to using Desktop Central. I've got a bunch of systems reporting as "health not available" in the dashboard, and about a third of them are legit. However, the remainder have all been successfully scanned recently and seem like they shouldn't be in there. I've poked through the documentation and googled a bit, but can't find a reason why they aren't clearing out. Can anyone illuminate me on this?

Got an issue this morning with the latest update for Windows Defender (1.299.2640.0) Patch ID 400009 "Download Success but checksum failed" on workstations. Checking the patch, it says it failed to download, "Download blocked by firewall/antivirus. Hi All, We have struck an issue with our latest Samsung A20 devices running Android Version 9 where we can not change the passcode of the device through the MDM, nor can we clear the passcode. Other issues that we are having are: GEO Location is not detecting the location of the device The SIM Phone number is not coming through. Remote connection to Mac Os X 10.14.5 Mojave won't work
Hello, I am trying to reach mac computers using remote control, current version of mac is Mojave 10.14.5 . When I initiate the connection using HTML, a new window pops up but shows green screen with an indicator constantly moving left and right. I have no problems on win computers. I can see the green light on Actions menu of mac in inventory section, every other option is working but remote connection. Does anyone know if Software Deployment configuration and Patch Management deployment would conflict with one another? What I mean is, if I set up a Default Workstations software configuration under Software Deployment based on the Dynamic Group of Windows Workstations Windows 7 through Windows 10. I have 12 default applications within the software configuration that would go on all computers. Enumerating Drive Mappings
Hello I was surprised to learn that some of our mapped drives are NOT being applied by Group Policy Preferences. There's also no evidence of logon scripts. Version numbers and what to upgrade?
Hi, I'm confused at what version I should be running, but I'm not sure how to get much clarification. We reported an issue a while back and were sent a ppm hotfix update which we've applied however if i look in the "whats new in desktop central" part the version I have and the version that is shown is now seemingly out of synch. There's also the fact that if i change the page from normal to add a 1 in i get a different version number. Windows 10 LTSB version upgrade 1607 > 1809
Hi, I have a lot of systems running Windows 10 Enterprise x64 LTSB 2016 (1607). I would like to upgrade these to Windows 10 Enterprise x64 LTSC 2019 (1809). I can do this manually by opening the LTSC 2019 iso, running setup.exe, selecting 'keep files and apps' - this will upgrade windows without touching programs or user data. Do we need to do any special steps prior to creating and pushing an image for the Desktop Central agent if we use the Desktop Central OS Deployment tool? Or do we need to deploy the agent after?
SoM computers more than Inventory computers
In our Desktop Central, I've noticed that when you go to SoM > Computers, it lists around 1400 computers. But when you go to Inventory > Computers, it lists around 1300. Why is there a 100+ difference in listings? Can we add the asset tag/serial number column to the SoM > Computer report? We're trying to determine why the discrepancy in numbers, and how it's affecting our patch numbers.
