FileAudit Agent Install
Hi everyone, just thought I would share a little info on manually installing the FileAudit agent on remote servers if you have trouble deploying through the web interface. I was getting a general error with no other information so I poked around a bit. In the program folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\ManageEngine\FileAudit Plus\bin" you will find the agent installers, hilariously called FapAgent.msi there is the x86 and x64 versions there. You can just copy those to the server you want and run them
Filter Report Results or Create new Graphs
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to filter report results in any way. Specifically we want to filter for a specific folder or for a specific user. So far I haven't found any tools for doing so. Also, is there a way to create custom graphs showing what specific data you want to see? All I get are pre-defined graphs, which are okay for some occassions, but I want to be able to make my own graphs that track specific data points.
Where Does FileAudit Pull it's Logs From?
We've been using the trial version of FileAudit plus for a little while now, and we want to know where the logs are being pulled from. We were told it was from the event logs, but after doing some digging, I've found logs on FileAudit plus that I cannot find in our event logs whatsoever. Does FileAudit pull from somewhere else? On that same note, we want to know where the logs are being pulled from so we can figure out if FileAudit saves the logs it pulls into it's own repository. Does anyone know

File auditing on a WORKGROUP server?
I'm curious. I see that there is a way to manually install the FileAudit Plus agent on a server, but I'm wondering if this would work to facilitate auditing a server that is not on the domain. We currently have a server that, for very specific and necessary reasons, cannot be added to our domain. I do, however, desperately need to perform file auditing on this server. So, would I be able to manually install the FileAudit Plus agent on that server, and then have that server become available to
FileAudit Question
Sorry if I am asking this in the wrong place. I am currently an ADAudit Plus subscriber and would like to know the difference between FileAudit Plus and that of the "built-in" file auditing of ADAudit?
Access to Folders and files
Is there an app that will allow IT staff to run reports to identify who has access to data on a file server?
