Is there a way to show all shares and their share permissions from 1 server
I can run the shares report to get the list of all shares on a server, with the option to click the permissions link to see the permissions associated with each share, but our auditors want that information for all 125+ shares. Is there a way to get both shares and share permissions from a server into one report without running the permissions report 125 times?
Assign Custom Template to Helpdesk User
Hi, I have created a custom user creation template for my helpdesk usage. But unfortunately, I am not able to assign the template to them. When they logged in, they get the default system template. As a workaround, I have to 1. Temporary grant them the right to create/modify user creation template, 2. then assigned my custom user creation template as a default templates. Only then, they are able to use my custom templates. Is there any better way from Super Admin to assigned the custom template without

Adding groups to bulk user creation CSV for template
Hey, I'm currently working with bulk creation of users, i'm wondering if there's a way to add the users created into certain groups ? Is there something i'm missing ? Eg, a Helpdesk Officer template, gets put into distribution lists/security groups for that template

Is there a way to limit the data that shows on the dashboard to a specific OU? All reports that we run are tied to our active OU, just curious if we can do the same for our dashboard. We have a separate OU that we place terminated employees in once processed. These users show up in the counts, but shouldn't.

Hi I have recently upgraded AD Manager plus to the latest version, however I have a problem when trying to do a user import with a CSV file. It goes through the process and loads and validates the users and then I click next and it seems to stick on Loading Please Wait and hangs there. This part used to take a few seconds (The csv is only 20 users in length) but now seems to hang there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Initials Length Exceeded Error

However, I have a suspicion that a new error I am getting when trying to import users is appearing due to changes in the new updates. Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to generate a random number between 0001 and 9999 to use in a custom naming format and assign it to the EmployeeNumber attribute? I am trying to create a report of inactive users and when I choose the select OU option to choose the OUs that I want to pull users from for this report, the OK and Cancel buttons that should appear at the bottom of the screen are not showing, so I am unable to choose the OUs that I've checked.

Custom Naming Format for User Creation Template
I'm trying to create a custom naming format so that the logon name is the first letter of the first name and the first letter of the last name plus 001, i.e. Joe Bloggs = jb001 The 001 would then increment if we had a user with the duplicate initials, John Brown = jb002. I've managed to set up the naming with a format value of %givenName%1[L]%sn%1[L], but just need to add the incremental number. Is this possible? Thanks.

hi, i am trying to reset a local user password on all pcs in our AD environment using the local user management. but using the tool i cant find where to reset a password for muliple computers at the same time. i can just reset for a computer at a time does anyone know how i can do this please?
Password Expired Users
When I click on the Password Expired Users link from the Domain Dashboard it show users in the list from the AD dumpster. Is there a way to prevent this? Since deleted users in AD are kept for 180 days I would expect them to be expired.

Restrict Groups by something other than technician?
I'm still in the trial with this product and love it so far. I need my helpdesk to be able to edit ANY AD account that is not a domain admin or an enterprise admin. I know these groups can be restricted per technician but that seems rather inefficient. Is there a way to configure it so that everyone in the "helpdesk" role can't see these groups?

Not all groups showing when adding or removing group memberships for a user
Since the update to ADManagerPlus Build no. 6171 I have had some technicians complain that when they go to remove or add a user to a group from the user modification that they are not seeing all of the groups. One technician inadvertently removed a user from all existing group memberships after adding user to a new group as the existing group memberships were not visible when adding a new group. Can someone please add any insight to this issue? Scott

Forbidden characters in FullName-Field while creating a new user account
Hi all, i create a default user creation template with a naming format like '%sn%, %givenName%' to set the FullName equal to DisplayName. But if i want to chnage the tab or create the new user, ADManager gives me the message '"Full name" value should not contain these characters: / \ [ ] : ; | = , + * ? < > @ "'. But if i create a user manually in the Microsoft User and Computer Management Console with this format there is no error displayed. So is it possible to user a character like a comma? Thanks

Allow logon to terminal server
Hi, We have a problem with our user creation template. Helpdesk create users with multiple templates, and sometimes the parameter "Allow logon to terminal server" is not configured as well in the Active Directory user account. Helpdesk can't change this parameter in the template, it's check by default. So helpdesk must uncheck the parameter "Deny this user permissions to log on to remote desktop session host server" in the Active Directory user account. Do you know this issue ? Regards.

Lync setup without Telephone Number
I have just upgraded to the latest release to more easily support enabling users for Lync when creating accounts. We had previously been using a custom script but when I saw that ADManager Plus could do it I upgraded. Staging Computer Account
When Help Desk Technicians "stage" a computer account, Create the account via ADManager Plus before joining the computer to the domain, they are receiving an Access is Denied error on the PC even though they are setting the "Manage By:" field for the account to their own account. I at first that it might be a replication issue, but even after 1 hour they are still getting access denied. Can someone give any insight as to why this might be ocurring?

User Modification Template Group reassignment issues
I have upgraded to version 6, hoping of utilising Modification Template for reassigning security groups based on template. So i have create 5 Modification Templates and each template has its own set of security groups. Hi, When creating a user I can configure the User Creation Template to run a PowerShell script for additional configuration. The script is running from the Custom Attributes tab. When I configure a User Modification Template the option to run a PowerShell script is not there. I would realy love to have this available as I am several uses for running a PowerShell script for modifying a user. Can this either be added in the next release or if possible with my current release please let me know how.

Hi Since three days I get the following screen when I try to modify the user account. The server has not been upgraded, patched or otherwise changed since the error started.
