Custom template not the default on both domains
Hi there I need to give Servicedesk access to perform certain tasks over two domains. Our current license is 2 domains and 5 techs. I have created new user templates for both domains however I can only tick one or the other as default. This means that when I change domain to create user from the default, the selected template is called System Template and not the customised one I have created. I can select it from the list but am trying to make this as easy to use as possible. Do you have a solution
User password
Hi, When creating a new user, I'd like to keep the newly created password for other purposes. Basically when I generate a new user, I get a password but don't know If I can retreive that field anywhere. Thanking you in advance, Cédric
Non super-admins have non-writeable fields in user creation templates
I've created a template for single user creation, however when I log in as a non-admin user to test the template, a lot of the fields, such as Password and Description, are grayed out - non-writeable. The fields are not set to read-only. I've assigned all permissions to this user except SuperAdmin with no luck. When I assign the SuperAdmin role to this user, everything works as expected. Modify User Templates - Change Value in Memeber of Field
Hi Everyone. I am trying to create a modify user template that will change a value in the Member of field without removing all the other values. example if a user is a member of Group A, Group B, and Group C. I want to be able to create a template to modify the user so that if they have Group B it needs to be replaced with Group D. The only way I have found to do this if it removes all the other groups and replaces it with Group D. I need to be able just replace one specific group with another
Feature Request: Domain Order
On Domain Settings, for Multiple Domain, be able to specify a display order. We have 6 domains, 3-4 are in use, and 2 legacy. Even in AD Manager Plus, it's not consistent, showing domain listed in one order in AD Mgmt, and in a different order in AD reports. We would like the select by Group functionality available in all the Bulk operations for users, exchange, terminal service, computers and groups. Allowing us to enable, move, modify etc. based on Group membership. In Addition, the “Modify Groups” under Group Management on the horizontal toolbar, is incorrect, it appears to be a singular group modification option, and we’re not able to modify multiple groups in bulk. Deprovisioning Users?
I was hoping there was a way to right-click or select deprovision user, when a user object needs to be disabled. Much like ActiveRoles Server, where you would right-click the object, select deprovision, and it would go through a series of tasks. Including, disabling user, setting pw to random, disabling mailbox, moving to Disabled Users, etc. It only appears to be an automated task? Is this the truth? How do you remedy disabling mailboxes and hiding them in Exchange?
Exclude Disabled Users From User Reports
We have a lot of return employees in our external offices so we don't delete their AD users, we disable them and move them into a child OU. When I run a user report, is there a way to exclude disabled users? For instance, if I'm going by state, I'll pick that state in the Chose OU section, but not its child Disabled OU, but the report grabs those anyway. If I can't exclude by the container I pick, can I exclude by it's Active/Disabled status in AD? I think there's a way to do it from Group Reports,
How to create room and resource exchange mailboxes?
I don't think this is possible but i figured i'd ask anyway. Is it possible to create room and resource exchange mailboxes via AD manager plus? We leverage the product to allow our help desk to create + manage mailboxes and accounts without needing to grant them access to traditional AD and Exchange management tools. Currently room and resource mailboxes are created as if they were user mailboxes which is not ideal as they cannot be scheduled as if they were rooms or resources. Thank You.

Hello, is it possible to extend the search for objects (e.g. a group) such that the search term will also be used in the description? Assume you have an environment in which groups are just numbered and you have several hundreds of them. Finding the right group can be cumbersome then...unless the search also uses the description. Preserving variables in Terminal settings
Within our organization, we use the following format for Terminal Profile paths: \\Vicctxsync01\wtsprofiles$\%location%\%username% However, when I use ADManagerPlus to create an account (either single or bulk) the path is changed to: \\Vicctxsync01\wtsprofiles$\\%username% It leaves two slashes and removes the %location% variable, which is a custom variable used by our Terminal Services team. Permissions for Folders
Currently I'm unable to use the "Permissions for Folders" report. I select the domain, shared resource path, and tell it to include all subfolders, but when I generate - I get a no data available for specified criteria. The same thing happens when I only include the parent folder. If I run the Shares in servers report, and click on "permissions" after the report is run, I see everything I need, but there is no way to do an export on that part of the data. ADManager is running as a service.
Added second domain, but only admin account can see it
We're on latest build 6241. Using built-in admin account, I have added both of our domains with admin credentials for each. Works fine when I'm logged in as admin. But if one of our technician accounts logs in (and they have super admin rights), they only see the primary domain. If they try to add the second domain again, they get an error that we have reached the limit for our license (2 domains). I have opened a ticket but wanted to see if anyone had a quick answer on here..
How do I setup correct automation of inactive users?
I'm working on implementing ADManager and is trying to figure out how I can disable inactive users. I have found that Automation is available in the Pro version so I want to use that. However, I need to filter on OU where the users are located. In the current setup I can only see that it is possible to filter on user attributes. But the reports that Automation runs on, can these be filtered on OU? If it is not possible to filter on OU, then I need to propose a change in our AD structure to my internal

Disallow setting primary group
Hi, I want to let users add and delete group memberships within the OU I assigned to them. The member of-field within single user adjustment works just fine except that I want to disable the set primary group button. I have tried several ways to disable this within AD delegation, but disabling this button seems not to be a feature (or it is not working as it should). Can somebody help me with this? Modify User with copy user attribute
Good Morning First I wanted to say thanks for adding the copy user attributes feature. Been waiting on this for a long time. But I have 1 issue currently. Does this feature exist when we modify a user? Example. John Smith is moving to the construction department. I want to modify his account and copy a users attribute from the construction department. AD Manager Plus - Cascading Organization Values
Is there a way to have cascading drop down values for Organization and Department in AD Manager Plus User Creation Templates? e.g. if a user is selected with "Company A" there would be a set of Titles and/or Departments that are only associated with "Company A" Or can Organization values be scoped to certain User Creation Templates? So if a user is created for Company A, only Company A is available as the Organization property for that new user, instead of all the available values in the Offices
Report on Enabled/Disabled users and Last Logon
I'd like to get a report on ALL users, both enabled and disabled and the last logon. This used to be available in prior versions but does not seem to be available in our version (ADM Plus 6.1.0 build 6140)
fcbulkusermemberofvals takes >32GB
Hello Our instance of AD Manager Plus takes already >70GB of data base space. We found, that the table fcbulkusermemberofvals takes more than 32GB of space on disk. We've already tryed the backup- / restore-scenario, without luck. Is there any possibility to shrink the database? Maybe by deleting old entries from the table above? Thanks Phinel

can't assign multiple groups when doing bulk user import (via CSV)

Is there a way to assign a helpdesk technician the ability to enable and disable users. I see where they can delete the user, however this is not how we do it. The user needs to be disabled.

Does AD Manager have something built in that will allow us to generate a newly created user report and identify who created the new users? We are trying to audit who is creating accounts in AD and address inconsistencies when possible.

Duplicate Username
Hello So we created out first template with custom scripts and everything is working great. But what do we do for duplicate usernames? I dont see any options in AdManager to deal with this. Im currently using version 6.2.2. It would be nice if we can tell it to use the first letter of the middle name or the 2nd letter of their first name...and so on.
Error creating Lync-enabled user. Are there logs I can look in?
Running ADM+ 6220. When creating a new user that is to be Lync-enabled, the creation process comes back with ""Error while enabling Lync services for the user." Logon Name Office 365
Hello, I created a user template, that create Office 365, based on a csv bulk user import. In the Validation Status it's returning that "Logon name is not compatible with Office 365", why? I tried with short and long names, with (returns the error message reported before) and without logon name (returns that it's a mandatory field).
